Hanuman Chalisa Event: During the period when society yearned for independence, some leaders attempted to appease the minority groups, which resulted in Hindus facing hardships. However, there was a dearth of unity among Hindus. Recognising this, Bal Gangadhar Tilak initiated the public observance of Ganesh Utsav in 1893 and the Shivaji festival in 1894. Currently, in our fast-paced world, it is imperative that religious public gatherings and celebrations occur more frequently.
Small Hanuman Chalisa Event turned out to be a mega success
The power of dreams is often underestimated in our fast-paced lives, but as the saying goes, “If you can dream it, you can achieve it.” This rings true in the case of the recent Hanuman Chalisa chanting event that took place in Nagpur. Some days ago, Nikhil Chandwani had a dream of calling the youth of the city to gather at a place and recite Hanuman Chalisa collectively.
He informed this to his wife, and soon the planning began to organise the event. He was expecting 30–40 people, but to his utter surprise, more than 1000 people attended the Hanuman Chalisa event at the Geographical Centre of India, Zero Mile, Nagpur. More than 1000 devotees were standing outside and reciting the Hanuman Chalisa with them.

Nikhil is an ardent Hanuman bhakt and has been promoting religious causes. He said, “Shri Hanuman’s strength, devotion, and childlike innocence have always inspired me, as the old-fashioned millennial in me paves the way through adulthood. My dream to chant Hanuman Chalisa became a reality only because everyone came together, took a lead, and helped reach out to everyone.”
Coming together to celebrate faith
The Hanuman Chalisa event was not just about chanting Hanuman Chalisa; it was also about coming together as a community, celebrating faith, and spreading positivity. According to the organiser, it was heartwarming to see people from different walks of life come together to celebrate this event.
As per Nikhil Chandwani, Jai Shree Ram Sena helped them with micromanagement. He hosted the Hanuman Chalisa event with influencer Sagar Pandey, who helped with coordination. His other friend, Shishir Tripathi, along with his team, helped with outreach.
It was also heartening to see the organisers take care of the small details, such as requesting everyone to wear a tilak and follow religious practises and pay reverence to Prabhu Shri Ram, Maa Sita, Laxman ji and Hanuman ji.
The gathering performed puja barefoot and enchanted themselves in devotion to Bhagwan Ram and Hanuman Ji while chanting Hanuman Chalisa. These small gestures showed that the event was not just about chanting; it was also about respecting and honouring the traditions and beliefs associated with it.
The fact that Hanuman Chalisa event will now be a weekly occurrence is proof of its success and the impact it has had on the community. It is a reminder that we should take some time out of our busy lives to indulge in spirituality and connect with our faith.

It is time, the young generation is inspired to visit Mandir and focus on Niskam karma yoga and leave the result on Prabhu as in the end “hoyihe wahi jo Ram rachi rakha.” For a long time, today’s generation lost its way in the endless race for materialistic things. So, these social religious gatherings become important to draw young generations towards religion. The young generation has to be inspired to frequently visit nearby mandirs and mandir of their clans’ kuldevi at least once in a year.
The success of the Hanuman Chalisa event is a testament to the power of social media, which was used to spread the word and reach out to as many people as possible. It is also a reminder of the importance of community outreach and the power of collaboration. It took a team effort to make this event a reality, and everyone who contributed should be applauded. Events like this are necessary to be cherished by the society. Hindus need to unite and publicly display their religious celebrations so as to boost their bhakti.
