A bigger conspiracy lies behind Rahul Gandhi’s ouster

Now there are strong murmurs that suggest Congress is quickly moving towards sidelining the Gandhi family.

Rahul Gandhi

Advisor of Rahul Gandhi: Are you familiar with one of the most popular words for betrayal, “Et tu, Brute?” which translates to “Even you, Brutus?”. As per the historical legend, these were the last words of Julius Caesar. He said this when his friend Marcus Brutus betrayed him.

Since then, the phrase has become a popular idiom for the shock and disappointment of facing betrayal by someone close. Well, the downfall of Congress and the recent disgrace—political, legal, or otherwise—of Rahul Gandhi indicate something similar is happening within Congress.

In fact, we pointed this out in our previous video: Mr. Gandhi is surrounded by a bunch of advisers who are scripting his downfall. They have no or debatable electoral achievements that make them worthy of advising India’s national political party, Congress.

Now there are strong murmurs that suggest Congress is quickly moving towards sidelining the Gandhi family. And it seems that for this reason, internal plots are being followed. This includes political and public embarrassment for the Gandhi family and throwing them into harm’s way by boosting their egos and letting them double up on their rhetorical charges.

Advisers Amplifying Rahul Gandhi’s Mistake

According to experts, a person is the average of the five people he meets the most. Many researchers have pointed out that social connections have a significant impact on one’s behaviour and attitude. Now, let me explain why I used this research thesis to underscore the current political debacle of Congress and its mascot, Rahul Gandhi. The fact is that one of the main reasons for the utter electoral failure of Rahul Gandhi is his politically bankrupt advisers.

After the full-fledged advent of Rahul Gandhi in national politics, Congress has only seen an exponential downfall. Under his leadership, Congress has lost no less than 80% of the parliamentary or state assembly elections. Any politician who seemed to have ground connections was alienated from the party. Again, the reason for this was the same. His advisers urged Mr. Gandhi to not budge even an inch on political rhetoric or part ways with these parting leaders. His advisers want to maintain the resolute anger of Mr. Gandhi despite the political catastrophe, or even political harakiri.

Social media is filled with lionised narratives about Rahul Gandhi, his physical endurance, style, charisma, “unapologetic” attitude, and plain speaking.

The height of their stupid political advice is that they have fully convinced Mr. Gandhi that he is on the right path and should only accelerate his attacks. These advisers have convinced him that electoral success doesn’t matter and that their ambitious Bharat Jodo Yatra should deliberately skip states where elections were or are due.

Even a political novice knows the importance of electoral success, except Rahul Gandhi, thanks to his advisers. That’s what his political speeches seem to suggest.

Another thing to think about is that Rahul Gandhi’s advisers have zero sense of issues that can rally people behind them. Majority of these Congress’ advisors throw real issues like employment, inflation, farmer, dalit, and women’s issues around like toppings on delicious Italian pizza. While fascists like the RSS, Modi, and Adani dominate their speeches, these real issues are just used to garnish their word salad.

Thirdly, these advisers worsen the situation for the party rather than limiting the damage of Mr. Gandhi’s or other Congress leaders’ goof up or political blunder. The prime example of this was the amplification of Rahul Gandhi’s mistake by his advisor, Jairam Ramesh.

Highlighting that Mr. Gandhi had made a mistake, Jairam Ramesh schooled him with the microphones on. Some political awareness, Mr. Jairam Ramesh!

This begs the question of why Congress’ advisers can’t sit down and deduce the logic behind Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra linking anything with the Pandavas. With that, they can enhance normal voters’ analytical thinking and showcase their high level of intellectual reasoning.

Are they really novices, or is it deliberate sabotage?

Now, anyone who accuses us of completely writing off Congress couldn’t be more factually wrong. Many political experts, even from within the grand old party, have opined that Congress has to look beyond Gandhi’s The above blunders, which even a political novice wouldn’t commit, suggest that leaders within the Congress want to throw them under the bus and not stop Mr. Gandhi when he is scripting his political downfall.

Let me give some examples to make my point. First, this coterie has at times put its weight behind a non-starter of a political debate. The high moral ground on the debate of impromptu speech vs. teleprompter is an example of it. Knowing the fact that Mr. Gandhi had erred many times or that this was a classic case of ‘slip of the tongue’, why not swallow this needless pride and focus on conveying the message rather than personal imagery? Mind you, these goof-ups or slips of the tongue are not limited to meme materials; they occur on moments that are politically significant, like “Satyagraha becomes a way to achieve Satha (rule).”

Let me give another example of how these advisers have sabotaged his political career. It’s in the public domain that Mr. Gandhi had to eat humble pie and issue an unconditional apology for his “Chowkidar Chor hai” remark. Then what’s this ‘hath dharmita’,” or stubbornness, to claim that he is a Gandhi and he won’t budge or apologise?

Whether the ‘Modi surname’ defamation happened on the spur of the moment or the defamation case should have been civil in nature, there is no doubt, even in the Congress party, that Rahul Gandhi committed a grave offence by making that disparaging remark.

Here too, Rahul Gandhi’s advisers seem to have followed the policy that puts Mr. Gandhi in harm’s way. Ironically, Jairam Ramesh had earlier apologised when he faced a defamation case.

It is not just us; many political experts and journalists have raised concerns of internal sabotage and betrayal for Mr. Gandhi.

Time is running short for Mr. Gandhi. He has to quickly overturn or get the conviction stayed; otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to contest elections for the next six years. Due to her health condition, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi also had limited political appearances. Congress General Secretary Priyanaka Gandhi Vadra had been playing limited roles as per her own liking. So if the conviction stays, Congress would enter the non-Gandhian era, an outcome desired by many Congress veterans. In an electoral sense, ardent regional politicians like Ashok Gehlot, Deependra Hooda, Kamalnath, or Bhupesh Baghel will start to assert their influence, leaving the current role of sycophants.
