Pavagadh Mandir – Guide
Kalika Mata Mandir is a famous temple of Maa Kali located on the top of Pavagadh hill, a short distance from Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park. This temple is the oldest temple in the region, believed to be around 10th-11th century. Dedicated to Goddess Kali, Kalika Mata Temple is a part of the Champaner-Pavagadh UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the 51 Shaktipeeths established in India. The temple is situated 762 meters above sea level
History of this Temple
Pavagadh Mandir is one of the oldest temples in Gujarat, if we look at the history of this temple, this temple takes us back to around 10th-11th century. The time of construction of Kalika Mata Temple is still unclear but temple management and R.K. Of. According to Trivedi, Kalika Mata is believed to have been initially worshiped by the local Leva Patidar and King Sardar Sadashiv.

Pavagadh Mandir opens from 5.00 a.m. in the morning to 7.00 p.m. in the evening. Morning Aarti timing is 5.00 AM. Evening Aarti timing is 6.30 PM.

This mosque of Champaner is built on a high base. It has long striped domes. Over time, the color and luster of the dome has faded. There is also a central urn in the prayer hall of the mosque.
