However, Brahmanandam is skilled in more than just comedy. The man demonstrated his aptitude for sculpture on his birthday a couple of years ago.

Many people are unaware of Brahmanandam’s lifelong ambition to become a sketch artist. He loves to draw portraits; it is his first love. He was also hailed for his outstanding work in 2021 by Telugu actor Allu Arjun.

His abilities go beyond this; he also excels as a singer, writer, director, and dubbing artist. He has sung in many Telugu and Tamil films and is well-versed in classical music. He has written screenplays and dialogue for numerous films.

How it all started

This achievement did not come to him so readily. In the Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh’s Sattenapalli town, Kanyakanti Brahmanandam was born on February 1st, 1956. Brahmanandam was one of his father’s eight children, who was a carpenter.

Brahmanandam, who hails from a village near Guntur district, earned a master’s degree in Telugu and started his career as a teacher. He later worked in the town of Attili in the Godavari district. During his time as a student, he participated in inter-college activities that helped to enhance his abilities in expression and comedy.

Several people enjoyed his plays, including playwright Adi Vishnu. This individual introduced Brahmanandam to NCV Shashidhar, a senior Doordarshan employee. What happened was that in 1985, he received his first break through the Doordarshan Telugu TV series “Pakapaklu,” and, he never looked back.

In 1986, he did his first movie named ‘Chantabbai’, where mesmerised his viewers with his physical and satiric comedy. That was the turning point in his life. Brahmanandam has such a wonderful talent!
