Peddamma Thalli Temple – Overview
Sri Peddamma Thalli Temple or Peddamma Gudi is a Durga temple located in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. This temple is very famous during the festive season of Bonalu. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga, who represents strength and courage.
The name Peddamma is derived from two verbs ‘pedda’ and ‘amma’, meaning mother of mothers, denoting the goddess. Peddamma Thalli is the supreme among the 11 forms of village deities. The other deities in the Peddamma temple are Lakshmi, Ganapati, Saraswati and the serpent god.
The Peddamma Thalli Temple is also dedicated to Santhana Lakshmi, who sits on a lion. Peddamma Thalli is here known as Gouramma and Ammavaru.

History of this Temple
There is no any history mentioned anywhere of Peddamma Thalli Temple. But it is believed that the temple is here for about 150 years. Only in the year 1993, this happened on a large scale and the Rajagopuram was constructed. Hundreds of people visit this temple and it feels like a festival every day.
People believe in “Amma” and the temple “Ujjaini Mahakali Mandir” is very popular in the twin cities next to Secunderabad. Devotees pray to “Amman” as their mother and believe that she is the saviour. Unlike the festivals, i.e., Bonalu once a year, here this temple Bonalu festival is also performed on every Sunday.

By Road- The temple is within the city of Hyderabad. Many buses reach the temple from different places, it is 14 km from MGBS and Secunderabad Railway Station.
