Jaishankar ZIB2 interview: Whenever our nation’s intrest is concerned Foreign Minister S Jaishankar has always been crystal clear in expressing his views, be it on any platform for that matter. Recently, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar took a firm stance without sparing any effort to ensure that Pakistan is held accountable for its actions.
Mr Jaishankar, on his visit to Vienna, highlighted the importance of global cooperation in tackling terrorism. He stated that terrorism is linked to illegal drugs, weapons trade and other forms of international crime. He said that a global solution is required to effectively address the issue.
EAM Dr. S Jaishankar ripped off the hypocritic skin of the west
On Monday, Dr S Jaishankar was in a interview with ZIB2, a daily news magazine of Austrian ORF television. When asked about the “not very diplomatic” term he often uses for Pakistan, Jaishankar responded by saying that he could have used much harsher language to describe the neighbouring country than “epicentre”. But he chose to use the diplomatic term due to circumstances.
In ZIB2 interview Jaishankar went on to say, “Because you are a diplomat, doesn’t mean you are untruthful. I could use much harsher words than epicentre, so believe me, considering what has been happening to us, I think epicentre is a very diplomatic word because this is a country which has attacked the Parliament of India some years ago (and) the city of Mumbai…which every day sends terrorists across the border.”

During the interview with ZIB2, when the anchor tried to play smart by underlining Pakistan as a peace loving nation and added that Pakistan does not propagate terrorism, Minister Jaishankar again left no goal unscored. He contested back with a hard hitting point.
EAM Jaishank said “If you control your sovereign space, which I believe they do. If terrorist camps operate in broad daylight in cities with recruitment and financing, can you really tell me that the Pakistani state doesn’t know what’s going on? Especially, they are being trained in military-level combat tactics.”

In response to a question about whether he thinks China could intervene militarily in Taiwan, Jaishankar said “There’s a larger concern, which is based on our experiences. The concern is that we had agreements with China not to mass forces in our border areas and they have not observed those agreements, which is why we have the currently tense situation that we do.”
Jaishankar refuted the ZIB2 interviewer’s claim that Beijing could accuse New Delhi of not upholding their agreements. He added “it would be difficult for the Chinese to prove that.”
Expressing the importance of openness and clarity in a time where satellite imagery offers unprecedented access to data, Jaishankar said “If you see who moved the forces to the border areas first, I think the record is very clear. So, it’s very difficult for China to say what you suggested they could.”

EAM Jaishankar once again made India’s stance clear on the Russia-Ukraine conflict. He expressed India desires for a cessation of hostilities and using methods like diplomacy and dialogue. “Where we are concerned, we have always taken the position that the way out is for the countries concerned to get back to dialogue and diplomacy.”
The foreign minister strongly hit out at European countries for failing to express disapproval at Pakistan’s actions. He added “When we speak about judgments and principles, why don’t I hear sharp European condemnation of these practices that have been going on for decades?”
Looking at strong stance of Indian minister, we can notice that the Government of India is always plain and direct in responding to diplomatic issues. Now, India’s strong diplomatic presence and expanding soft power have enabled the nation to be the global leader by the use of perfect strategy.
