Tunisha Sharma Death Case: Bollywood’s history is filled with several incidents of suspicious deaths and suicides. A lot of speculations are also made over such incidents. While some may be true, others are mostly proven to be false. But every time it happens, they do call for a proper analysis. This time, a 20-year-old actress has committed suicide, and once again the circumstances of her death are raising concerns.
Yet another suicide case in Bollywood
Tunisha Sharma, a television actor, played a leading role in the show ‘Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul’. On December 24, she was found hung by her neck in her co-star’s makeup room on the set of the show. The police said there was no suicide note found in the vicinity.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chandrakant Jadhav, “Tunisha Sharma used to work as an actress in a TV show. Tunisha Sharma and Sheezan Khan had a love affair. They had a breakup 15 days ago after which she died by suicide on the sets of her show.”
Speculations regarding planned murder or suicide
When Tunisha Sharma Death Case news spread around the internet, it was speculated that the suicide was a case of ‘love jihad’. But the police denied such an angle to the actress’s death. However, the police assured that both the angles of murder and suicide will be investigated.
As per the reports, Tunisha’s mother has accused Tunisha’s ex-boyfriend, Sheezan Khan, for abetment to suicide and filed a complaint against him. The police registered an FIR and took Sheezan Khan into custody. Tunisha’s mother said that the actress was suffering due to her relationship.
Just few hours before her death, she posted an Instagram story where she was seen acting normal while getting prepared for a shoot. Moreover, she also posted her picture on Instagram with a caption “Those who are driven by their Passion doesn’t stop.” The caption is completely opposite to the act she committed. This also raised concerns for the family and fans.
It is weird that the make-up room where she committed suicide does not belong to her, but to Sheezan Khan. Another serious question that arises is as to how no one could see her committing suicide on a busy set?
On the other hand, the post-mortem report confirmed the suicide. The rumours of her pregnancy were also cast away by the report. The report confirmed that Tunisha died of suffocation. There were also no injury marks on her body.
Her career profile portrays nothing that might force her to commit suicide. In fact, she had one of the best career kick-starts than most other actors. She debuted with the serial ‘Maharana Pratap’ on television. She even got a role in Bollywood movie ‘Fitoor’ in 2016, at a young age of 14. The show she was working in also attracted a lot of audience.

A vague case which needs proper investigation
These types of incidents raise serious concerns over the responsibility of Indian film and television industry because such cases have now become frequent.
At present, it is hard to predict whether Tunisha Sharma death case was a planned murder or a simple case of suicide. Although the post-mortem report denied any possibility of a murder, the cause of suicide is another important factor to be considered. As seen in most cases, there is always a certain provocation behind a suicide. So, if there is any abetment behind Tunisha’s death, it should be investigated like a planned murder.
