Sawariya Seth Temple, Mandafia – Overview
Sawariya Seth Temple Temples are located in the town of Mandafia and Chapar, which is about 40 km from Chittorgarh in Rajasthan. Lord Shri Krishna is located in this temple, which is known as Saawariya Seth. The town called Mandafia and Chapar are known as Shri Sanwariya Dham. This holy temple of Sanwariya Seth is very famous all over Rajasthan.
History of Temple
The history of Sawariya Seth temple is about 250 years old. This temple was very small when this was built, it deteriorated with time. Later on this temple was rebuilt and made magnificent and grand. Lord Shri Krishna is also known by many names as Saanwalia ji, Saawariya Seth, Sawara Seth or Seth of Seth.
Architecture of Temple
The architecture of the Sawariya Seth temple resembles the architectural style of the Hindu temples of North India. The attractive and magnificent idol of Lord Shri Krishna sits in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
The size of the sanctum sanctorum of this temple is very large, due to which religious rituals are conducted very comfortably in it. There is a huge Sikra on top of the temple, the roof and floor of the temple made like traditional Hindu temples.
Small temples of other deities are also present in this complex. The idols of deities are attractively carved on the walls of the temple. Which further increase the beauty of this temple.

Kalika Mata Temple: This Kalika Mata Temple is a famous 8th century Hindu temple built in Chittor Fort inside Chittorgarh Municipality. Initially it was a sun temple but this temple gradually decayed. Rana Kumbha rebuilt this temple and installed a deity in this temple. Later this goddess became known as Kalika Mata as Kuldevi of Mori Panwar clan.
Vijay Stambh: This Vijay Stambh is a grand victory monument located inside the Chittor Fort. It was built in the year 1448 by the Hindu Rajput king of Mewar, Rana Kumbha. This pillar is considered a symbol of victory in Rajasthan.
