Ravish Kumar Quint controversy: In a highly opinionated world, facts go right out of the window. Since 2014, many alleged Journalists have carried out their personal commentary, innuendos and cynicism in the name of ‘fact’ based journalism and speaking ‘truth to power’. But the matter of fact is that the decentralisation of power to set the narrative has ripped apart this pathetic style of journalism. It is for this reason that the so-called champions of journalism, lost their relevance, even when they tried to gain popularity by becoming parasites.
The platforms may change but the ranting script won’t
Former NDTV Journalist Ravish Kumar is credited as the front-runner of the agenda driven theatrics. Just like other players, his cynicism led to his downfall. But it looks like Mr Ravish Kumar is still playing for the galleries. He has been saying things that gain him traction and applause from his audience, no matter how make-belief his world has become.
In a recent one-on-one interaction, Mr Ravish Kumar narrated the story of his fantasy world. The narcissist Ravish Kumar amused everybody by literally insinuating that the government and major industrialists plan their everything taking him into consideration.

Mr Ravish alleged that Gautam Adani spent crores of rupees just to make him unemployed and ‘silence’ him.
Later, he vented out his frustration on another leftist media outlet. Lost in his lamentation, Mr Ravish Kumar started hitting out at his co-ideologue Quint.

In Hindi, frustrated Ravish Kumar remarked “news channel se mahaan patrakarita karni hi thi to Quint mein bhi paise dalein gaye the, Quint ne kitni mahan patrakarita kar di?” It can be roughly translated as, if Mr Adani wanted to achieve journalistic success, he could have done the same when they had bought shares in Quint, but nothing major came out of it.
The ranting boomeranged on Mr Ravish Kumar
The partisan and biased journalist Mr Ravish Kumar forgot the essence of journalism. So, it becomes important to remind him that Journalism should be objective, unbiased and fact based rather than letting opinions take the driving seat.
Interestingly, the flagbearer of leftist agenda was taken down by none other than co-ideologue of Ravish Kumar, Ritu Kapur, the CEO of the Quint. Taking to twitter, she lambasted Mr Ravish Kumar for making unfounded claims. To clear the air and expose Mr Ravish Kumar’s opinionated journalism, she laid bare the truth with nothing but the facts of the ownership of the media house in question.

Quint CEO, Ritu categorically stated that Adani does not have any ownership in ‘The Quint’.
Finally, she concluded by advising the coveted Magsaysay Awardee Ravish Kumar that even a basic diligence or a google search would have saved him from this public humiliation.
This recent takedown by one leftist media outlet of their former legend was always bound to happen. The fundamental problem with the left is that it is full of contradictions presenting themselves as a harmonious union. And the cover is out now. Now, the leftist fan club has ditched Ravish Kumar as he has reached a level of fantasy beyond imagination which these leftists ironically fail to fathom.
