Sunny Deol has an unbeaten box office record versus the Three Khans

Sunny Deol birthday

Happy birthday Sunny Deol: It is often thought and has been stated many times that the Khans have been carrying the weight of Bollywood for years. However, the myth has been decimated to an extent. The back-to-back flops, whose credit should go to disgruntled Hindus, has demolished the once invincible Khan stardom.

The Khan trio- Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan have ruled Bollywood for more than a decade and have enjoyed enormous fan following. But what happens is, in making one star, many talented actors are cornered. The actors get everything from good films, to good salary to huge fan following barring media space comparable to the stars. One such actor is Sunny Deol, who is celebrating his 66th birthday today.

Today is 66th birthday of Sunny Deol, On 19 October 1956, in a Punjabi Jatt family of Ludhiana a legend was born. How Sunny Deol began his career

It was the time of the 70s and 80s, when the trend of action heroes or angry young heroes emerged. Every actor was trying to fit into the required box of angst-ridden male lead. And then arrived, Ajay Singh Deol, the legendary actor who delivered some classics such as “Dhai kilo ka haath”, “Cheer Dunga, phaad dunga”, “Tareek pe tareekh” and made the bill his own.

Sunny Deol gained media attention with his macho image, husky voice and famous dialogue delivery. His films like Ghayal, Jeet, Damini, Yateem, Tridev, Ghatak, Border and Gadar: Ek Prem Katha made him gain the reputation of a solid action hero in the Hindi film industry.

Sunny Deol- The Superstar

It would be true if I say that Sunny Deol has not got his due and saying Sunny Deol was a just a superstar of the 90s would be an understatement. In a short span of 8 years, between 1994 to 2002, Deol had delivered 3 blockbusters, Darr, Border and Gadar. Although Shahrukh Khan went on with the sympathy gained from Darr, it was Sunny Deol who must get the major credit for its box-office success.

Sunny Deol has been a part of more than 85 Bollywood films so far. He has acted in all kinds of films in his acting career, such as romantic, thriller, action, and comedy, but he is more famous as an action hero. It was an emotion that if Sunny Deol is on the silver screen nothing could go wrong. The actor then, had become a producer and is now the Member of Parliament from Gurdarspur constituency. We wish a very happy birthday to Sunny Deol.
