Ghaziabad rape victim gets exposed as a scheming criminal

How do common masses know Swati Maliwal, the chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women? Someone who is zealously fighting for the women’s cause. The former Aam Aadmi Party leader, currently serving the DCW chair since, recently amplified a case through a video post. Maliwal had alleged that a 36-year-old woman was found wrapped in a jute bag, her hands and legs tied and an iron rod was still inside her at the time of recovery. She had likened the case to that of Nirbhaya. However, it now turns out that the matter was blown out of proportion without proper information on the same.

The initial report

At around 3:30 AM on October 18, the police had received the information from a passerby and immediately a Police team had rushed to the spot. The Police then took the woman to a hospital and she registered a complaint.

However, the woman had refused to undergo medical examination at two hospitals, first at Ghaziabad and then at Meerut. The medical examination finally happened at Delhi’s GTB hospital, where the doctors denied any internal injury.

UP Police makes shocking revelations

It was reported that the woman, resident of Delhi’s Nand Nagri was waiting at the Ashram Road to board an autorickshaw after attending a party at her brother’s home in Ghaziabad. It was then that four men arrived in a car, abducted her and took her to an unknown location where another accused joined in and raped her.

However, the Ghaziabad Police had termed it as a “totally made up and fabricated case.” Praveen Kumar, Inspector General (Meerut Range) said, “The alleged incident did not take place. We have arrested three friends of the woman on the basis of their confessional statements which have been corroborated with evidence. The incident was planned to nail the five men who had land dispute with the woman.”

The police said the three men were booked under Indian Penal Code section 195 (giving false and fabricated evidence), 467 (forgery) and provisions of the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act.

Refusing the widely propagated narrative, the Ghaziabad Police debunked the theory that the woman was raped and dumped on the roadside. Rather, the police had claimed that the woman and her friends used Gaurav’s Alto car (one of the accused) to bring her to the spot in Ghaziabad and the GPS locations of the vehicle has confirmed the route they took.

The entire conspiracy was hatched to tamper with the ongoing legal case regarding a property in the Karkardooma court. The police have further said that action will be taken in the matter as per the new revelations.
