Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan release date: It will not be wrong to say that Bollywood is going through its toughest times. Right from the moment of the announcement of production of any movie, it becomes the centre point for scathing controversies courtesy of its shady track record of its star cast.
The so-called Stardom has gone for a toss. Mega budget movies have failed to recover their investment. Big stars like Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan had to resort to begging the audience to see their movies in theatres while lamenting for his controversial remarks.
Now, it seems that seeing the dismal performance of his colleagues, Salman Khan too is feeling jittery for his acting career.
Is Bollywood lacking the courage to showcase their crappy movies?
Bollywood has a lasting relation with controversies. For a very long time, it used to think that any publicity – good or bad, is good for the marketing of the movie. It rallied its PR team behind such controversies to create a strong buzz for the movie.
However, off late, it has realised that its marketing and PR strategies have been called out by the general public. Moreover, the anti-Hindu portrayal of its characters in the movie had already soured the audience’s experience with the Hindi cinema industry.
These disaffections were aggravated by insider-outsider debate and the unfortunate demise of talented actor Sushant Singh Rajput. This led to a widespread debate around original and fresh content, talent and portrayal of characters in the Bollywood movies.
After repeated failures in incorporating these changes and shunning its propaganda, Bollywood had to suffer at the hands of Boycott trends.
Now, it seems that Bollywood’s Bhaijaan Salman Khan too is feeling jittery about possible failure of his movies in such times of despair for Bollywood. Both of his upcoming movies – ‘Tiger 3’ and ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ have been postponed and are slated to get a festival release next year.
Even those films that have completed their production and are ready for release have been pushed to new dates on account of fear of failures in current times. The Yashraj Production houses had completed the debut film of Aamir Khan’s son, but there is no news on its release dates.
Now, Salman Khan shifting release of his movies indicates the fact that thrones of Bollywood has suffered a massive jolt and has realised the change in scenario.

Dismal performance of Bollywood forced Salman to postpone his movies
Now, the Salman Khan-starrer Tiger 3 is said to be released in Cinemas on Diwali next year. The spy thriller movie was earlier scheduled to be released on Eid, that is, April 21, 2023.
Additionally, his movie ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ which was earlier expected to be released on 30th December, 2022 is now scheduled to get an EID release, next year. It will be released in cinemas on 21st of April, 2023.
Salman Khan too confirmed the postponement of both of his movies but didn’t give any reason for the delay in theatrical release. But experts are connecting it with the repeated failure of Bollywood as even Ranbir, Akshay, Aamir and others have failed to resurrect Bollywood to its pre-pandemic level.

Notably, Eid and Salman Khan had become synonymous with each other since 2009. Salman’s Wanted was the first one to be released on Eid. It became a huge hit and thus began a trend in itself. Then came Dabangg (Eid 2010), Bodyguard (2011) and Ek Tha Tiger (2012). In 2013, the actor missed the EID release.
Then the EID release continued from 2014 to 2019. Kick (2014), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), Sultan (2016), Tubelight (2017), Race 3 (2018) and Bharat (2019). The covid pandemic denied an Eid release of Radhe in 2020. It was later released on Zee Plex on Eid 2021.
Post pandemic, no Salman Khan starrer movie has hit the big screen and this is making the actor nervous. He knows that Bollywood has lost its lustre and audience has evolved big time after the covid pandemic.
Not just the postponement, Salman Khan had to change the name of his movie to avoid further muddying the waters. The title of the movie was changed to Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan from ‘Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali’.
Bollywood is going through its worst time as it is facing the wrath of disgruntled audiences. From January 2022 to September 2022, Bollywood has seen nearly 60 big releases. Around 90% of them have failed miserably at the box office and proved to be superflop.
No stars have been spared in this storm that has headed Bollywood’s way. These includes actors like Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Shahid Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan to John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan and Kangana Ranaut. It is not that all of them failed due to the boycott trend. Some could not even get a start at the theatre on account of lack of freshness in Bollywood movies.
Pertinent to note that recently, Salman had joined the South actor Chiranjeevi. He made a cameo in Godfather. Many experts have linked it to fear within Bollywood and audiences’ craze towards Southern regional cinema players.
The disgruntled audiences have shown these Superstars that in the end it is they who had bestowed all the honour and prestige to them. If Bollywood keep taking audiences for granted and don’t end their nefarious anti-Hindu agenda then stardom, illicit power grab of the cabal will be a thing of the past.
This has been slowly taking place in the form of success of quality content like Karthikeya 2 irrespective of genre or language barrier or theatrical release or OTT release.
