Mahesh Babu’s Mother, Indira Devi Passes Away At The Age Of 70

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s mother and actress, Indira Devi, has died at the age of 70. According to the information received, the superstar’s mother had been ill for a few weeks. Indira Devi was being treated at AIG Hospital in Hyderabad. She was also kept on a ventilator for some time after her health deteriorated, but breathed her last at 4am today.

According to the official statement released by Mahesh Babu’s family, “Smt Ghattamaneni Indira Devi, wife of veteran actor Krishna and mother of Mahesh Babu passed away a short while ago. She had been suffering from illness for quite some time now. Her mortal remains will be kept at Padmalaya Studios for fans to visit at 9 am today and later the last rites will be performed at Maha Prasthanam,”

Satish Ready also shared the sad news of the passing of Mahesh Babu’s mother, Indira Devi, on his Twitter account. Giving information on the death of Mahesh Babu’s mother, Satheesh Reddy wrote, “Superstar Mahesh Babu’s mother, Indira Guru, has passed away. My condolences to his family. Om Shanti.”

Mahesh Babu has always had a special attachment to his mother Indira Devi. Her father and superstar Krishna Garu got married for the second time to Vijaya Nirmala. Indira Devi lived alone after separating from her husband Krishna Garu, but Mahesh Babu and other family members visited her frequently. Mahesh Babu has always been very close to his mother Indira Devi.

 

JR NTR wrote “Deeply saddened by the passing away of Indira Devi Garu. Deepest condolences to Krishna garu, Mahesh anna and family in this time of grief.”

Mahesh Babu’s father Krishna was a Telugu cinema superstar of his time. He was first married to Indira Devi, with whom he had five children. Mahesh Babu is number four among these five children. Krishna then divorced Indira Devi and married actress Vijaya Nirmala. May god bless the soul and give strength to the family and supporters.
