The Islamists are horrified by Farmani Naaz who sings Har Har Shambhu without fear

How dare she sing Shiv Bhajan ‘Har Har Shambhu’? It is the sole responsibility of Hindus to be secular. We, the Islamists, do not have to respect other religions, leave alone sing the Shiv Bhajan. This is haram in Islam.

Well, this is not what we are saying but it’s what the Islamists are up to these days.

Farmani Naaz, a resident of a village in the Ratanpuri area of Muzaffarnagar, took to singing as it was the only way to get support for her ill son. Such was her talent that in no time, she became a sensation with 3.84 million subscribers on social media. However, the Islamists with not even an iota of knowledge about what art is, began coming down heavily on Farmani after one of her bhajans of Bhagwan Shiva became extensively popular during Kanwar Yatra.

Farmani Naaz draws the ire of Deoband ulemas

Farmani Naaz who sings Har Har Shambhu without fear has become a YouTube sensation and is praised by many for her talent. Her rendition of ‘Har Har Shambhu’, which was posted to YouTube on July 24, has managed to gain more than 6 lakh views so far. While many are showering praises on her, Muslim clerics are threatening her for singing a Shiv Bhajan.

Deoband based Maulana Ishaq Gora came out ‘preaching’ Naaz that “their religion does not permit bhajans for other religion. This is against Shariat as well as tenets of Islam.”

While Maulana warned her not to sing songs of other religion, another Deoband-based cleric, Mufti Asad Qasmi said that singing is not allowed in Islam. He attempted to threaten Naazbu saying that it is a sin for Muslim to sing songs and she should not sing bhajans. He also ‘advised’ Naaz to “stay away from this and ask forgiveness from God.”

Who is Farmani Naaz?

Farmani Naaz was married in 2017, to one Imran Ahmad from Hasanpur in Meerut. However, her husband was unfaithful to her, and left her after their son developed some throat problem.  Her in-laws began demanding financial support from Farmani’s mother after which she left for her mother’s home.

Singing was the only way to get some money to treat her child. Her participation in Indian Idol season 12 helped her gain some popularity among her fans.

You see, Farmani is no ordinary woman. When asked that Ulemas are threatening her for her singing, she said, “I am living in Muslim dominated village and till today no one objected to my singing. I don’t know which objected as no one approached me”.

Now, she has also pinned a message to her video ‘Har Har Shambhu’ on YouTube saying that an artist has no religion. She requested people not to link religion and music.

While other Muslim women choose to remain silent over the patriarchal approach of the Islamists, Farmani Naaz has emerged as a courageous woman who knows her art, respects other religion, is independent and what they say, is a true feminist. On her own, she runs a family and receives love from all over India for her exceptional talent.

Islamists and the patriarchy

You see, Islamists do not really like when the women of their community choose to make their own decisions. They do not want the women to be liberated in the truest sense. Moreover, when they choose to stay true to themselves and follow humanity over religion, they start fuming like idiots. Farmani Naaz is not the first woman who is on the radar of these Islamists.

Earlier, they had belittled Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan for visiting temples. They had threatened her, abused her saying that Muslim women should not visit temples. Moreover, AajTak journalist Rubika Liyaqat too was heavily trolled for wearing a bindi, and saree and dressing up like a Hindu woman. These hypocrite Islamists go numb when a few Hindu women are trapped by Islamists in the name of ‘Love Jihad’.

However, Farmani Naaz has risen up against all the patriarchal approaches and is an example for other Muslim women to start taking their own decisions.
