Parivar Bhakti reigns supreme in Congress, even during Har Ghar Tiranga

Har Ghar Tiranga

India is marking the 75th year of our Independence. For that, the nation is celebrating 75-weeks long Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. This government initiative garnered public support and has become a movement in itself. Through this, India is paying gratitude to all the great souls whose sacrifices gave us the most precious thing in the world, that is, “Freedom”. However, even at such a momentous time for the nation, Congress couldn’t shed its narcissistic tendencies. It has resorted to its age-old tactics, that is, to blow the Gandhi family bandwagon. It seems as if the entire solar system exists because of the Gandhi family and the world revolves around them.

Har Ghar Tiranga

India is on the verge to script a memorable history. On the special occasion of our 75th Independence Day, the nation will be painted in the colours of nationalism and Tricolour. The government has set an ambitious target of hoisting the National flag on the rooftops of every household particularly from 13th to 15th August.

For this, it is motivating everyone to be an active part of the Har Ghar Tiranga programme. In this non-partisan, pan-India celebration, Indians irrespective of caste, colour, religion or political affiliation are putting the Indian National Flag as their display picture (DP) on social media platforms.

Opportunity for Congress to parrot family eulogises

Congress being Congress moulded Har Ghar Tiranga programme to praise its almighty Lords. Resorting to its narrow “family first” mindset it adopted a petty line. It is putting DPs of Jawaharlal Nehru holding the tricolour rather than the tricolour alone like other Indians did.

Here are a few Display pictures of Congress leaders having Former PM Nehru holding tricolour.

What’s wrong with that?

The Indian freedom struggle, unlike written in History books, had the sacrifice of countless warriors, leaders, freedom fighters, poets, artisans, visionaries and other great souls. So, it is impossible to capture all great souls in one picture. Which is why, the Indian National Flag alone is the symbol for the greatness of India and whatever Indians have or aspire to achieve. So, no matter how badly Congress tries to justify it, one individual can’t comprehend the vastness of all freedom fighters and freedom struggle.

Apart from that, why Congress only chose Jawaharlal Nehru also raises questions. Jawaharlal Nehru is not the only PM that Congress gave to the country. Why don’t they feel the same pride in taking the name of India’s other Congress PMs like Lal Bahadur Shastri, PV Narasimha Rao or even their loyalist Dr Manmohan Singh? The grand old party could also have included the first President Dr Rajendra Prasad or Former President Pranab Mukherjee.

The simple answer to why Congress chose only Jawaharlal Nehru with Tricolour is Parivar Bhakti. It can’t think beyond its Parivar. It seems as if praises for Gandhi family have become the bread and butter for Congress leaders. The only priority for them is Parivar Bhakti, everything comes later and who cares about what ordinary citizens think and do, right? Wrong, this petty mindset has brought Congress to this dilapidated state.

The information age has shattered all the partial truths about the Indian freedom struggle. In an attempt to over-glorify few individuals particularly of the Nehru-Gandhi clan, contributions of other legendary freedom fighters were clipped off from the history books. The truth was moulded according to their agenda. The arrogance of the family can be understood from the fact that at one point of time it believed that “India is Indira and Indira is India”. Nothing can be more wrong than this.

There is a complete disconnect between Congress and voters. Congress only needs parrots who hym their praises. The party hates anyone who has merit to outshine their lacklustre hideous track record. All these Congress tactics are badly disliked by the general masses. Parivar Bhakti has taken Congress to the verge of political oblivion and if it continues, Mahatma Gandhi’s advice to dissolve Congress would fruitify.
