Grow up PR agencies. Your tricks won’t save SRK everytime

Every masterstroke has a shelf life. After a particular period of time, they cease to work. But, Bollywood does not seem to realise it. Rather than presenting their own self, Bollywood stars are still relying on PR agencies for their promotions. But, even Shah Rukh Khan should understand that Indians have become experts in factual rebuttals.

Shah Rukh Khan spent 23 lakhs

Recently, page 3 of Internet media was filled with the news that Shah Rukh Khan had donated Rs 23 lakhs for a reverse osmosis (RO) plant at the Vadodara railway station. The news got a lot of tweets and retweets from dedicated Twitter handles. Online sites published the so-called news with the catchphrases like “Check out, Shah Rukh……..

To bring more attention to the advertised donation, ARY News, a Pakistani news channel even published the numbers in million. It is an unfortunate truth that due to foreign impact, most Asians perceive millions as way more than the same quantity in their local currency. So, 2.3 million sounds more to an average Asian than 23 lakhs, though both are the same.

The actual reason behind the donation

Characteristically, postmodernists dominating the modern-day art and culture spectrum did not even enquire about the reason behind the donation. The fact is that Shah Rukh Khan donated it because unlike actors like Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and a plethora of others, he wants to be in good books of the Indian legal setup. Here is the background story.

In 2017, Shah Rukh Khan had halted at the same railway station for the promotion of his movie ‘Raees’. Interestingly, Shah Rukh was there only for 10 minutes as he was originally destined to reach Delhi by that train. But, even within those 10 minutes, his security handlers let pass the information to the public. Expectedly, people rushed to the station in order to catch a glimpse of the person who was then known as ‘King Khan’.

A person died due to Shah Rukh Khan?

Shah Rukh even responded by throwing softballs and t-shirts at fans. Soon, the train started to move, but astoundingly his fan army also started to run alongside it. A mini stampede occurred in which one person lost his life due to breathlessness.

Later, a case was registered against Shah Rukh and a summon was issued against the actor. His publicity drive was termed as a rash and negligent act by the accuser Jitendra Solanki, a local Congress party member. However, when Shah Rukh appealed in High Court, Justice Nikhil Kariel refused to call it so and termed the act as over enthusiasm on Shah Rukh’s part.

Court asked him to plant RO

However, the Court asked Shah Rukh Khan’s lawyers to ask him to plant a 500-1000 kg RO plant on the same station. This is exactly what Shah Rukh Khan was doing. He was just following the Judicial advisory and not doing a donation from his heart. In fact, Shah Rukh himself says that he does not believe in publicised charity.

Maybe Shah Rukh does not believe in it, but it seems as if companies promoting him do want to publicise even the smallest of his good deeds, particularly in the current atmosphere. At this juncture of time, the majority of Indians have become intentionally hostile towards Bollywood celebrities.

People have been expressing their contempt for Bollywood

It all started when people started to realise that Bollywood had intentionally poisoned their minds with anti-Hindu bigotry in the name of respecting every religion. But, they refused to listen and kept releasing movies like OMG: Oh My God!, P K among others, which were particularly insulting to Hindus, the majority of their consumer base.

And after the controversial death of Sushant Singh Rajput, Bollywood lost the rest of its credibility. People now understand that Bollywood does nothing but promote nepotism, anti-Hindu narrative,  anti-scientific, anti-civilization woke ideology. Arrogant responses by nepotistic stars like Kareena Kapoor did not help the matter either.

Pathaan most likely to tank

Various movies have tanked, particularly in the last 2-3 years. The latest entrant in that coveted list is Shamshera which was made with a humongous spending of 150 crores. Even Ranbir Kapoor could not attract cinemagoers. Similarly, Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chaddha is also going the same road as Mr. Perfectionist is out there proving himself a country loving citizen.

Next in line is Pathaan, his supportive information dissemination networks do not want a bad reputation to destroy Shah Rukh’s last attempt to save his legacy.
