Anurag Kashyap is the new Ram Gopal Varma, only that he’ll sink deeper

Anurag Kashyap has always been in the news for all the wrong reasons. He has been in the news for his virulent opposition to the CAA. He seemed to have taken a nasty dislike for PM Modi, and had no qualms in resorting to below-the-belt attacks on the latter. For Anurag Kashyap, PM Modi and his government are responsible for even calamity disasters.

Kashyap blames govt for the failure of movies

Ever since the advent of the Modi government, Kashyap has taken the first opportunity available to lambast the Modi government. This time, he is at it again. You see, Bollywood is proving to be a complete disaster.

While the boycott of the film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ led the film to be a colossal disaster, Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Raksha Bandhan’ could collect only ₹ 28 crores in five days. Director Anurag Kashyap also opened up about the declining business of Bollywood.

A few days ahead of the release of the film ‘Dobaara’, which is produced and directed by Kashyap, he was asked during an interview “why Bollywood movies are failing at this time.”

However, he seems to be living in a different world altogether. He said that “not only Bollywood but also South Indian movies are not getting success.”

He asserted, “How do you say that South movies are making good collections? It won one film each in Kannada and Tamil, two films each in Hindi and Telugu. Can you name the Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films released in the last few weeks? It won’t happen. The reason for that is that films are not earning well there too.”

He further added, “People don’t have money. People are paying GST on Paneer and other food items. A boycott is a distraction from the real issue. Nowadays, people go to the theater only if they are sure that the movie is good. Otherwise, they want to watch it only when it is a long awaited movie. For example, people wanted to see films like ‘RRR’, ‘Baahubali’. After the opening of ‘KGF’, the audience was waiting for the second chapter of KGF.”

Reason behind Kashyap’s hate for Modi gov

You see, there is a reason behind Kashyap’s hate for the Modi government. He was among those beneficiaries whose monthly pension of Rs 50,000/- was stopped by the UP govt in 2017. BJP spokesperson Shalabh Mani Tripathi had once exposed the reason behind his hate. He has tweeted, “Understand the reason behind his hatred for Modi Ji, Amit Shah Ji, and Yogi Ji, the taxpayer’s money earlier squandered on flop films was stopped by BJP government. Hence, the urge to provoke freeloaders against the nation is imminent.”

He also published a series of letters and requests, which were made by Anurag Kashyap in context to grants for his movies ‘Mukkabaaz’, ‘Saand ki Aankh’.

He also exposed the association of Anurag Kashyap with the previous Samajwadi Party Government with a further tweet that read as follows, “When he didn’t get the government’s alms for his flop films, a desperate Anurag Kashyap resorted to filthy abuses. Some governments wasted crores on his flop films as well, apart from luring him with the pension of Yash Bharati scheme. Now Yogi ji has stopped such perks and started giving the money to the poor, the widows and the farmers, which is the main cause of his nasty rants.”

Anurag Kashyap – Rebel without a cause

During the release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 2016, when people criticized the film crew for the presence of Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in the movie post the Uri attacks, Anurag Kashyap chose to blame PM Modi for the same. When a journalist from News18 sought to clarify his stance on the topic, not only did Anurag respond rudely to her, but also he did the atrocious task of making her cell phone number public, which led to the journalist being heckled and threatened by many people, including some anti social elements from across the border.

To be honest, hypocrisy has found a new name with Anurag Kashyap. A self proclaimed liberal, Anurag could not even stand for what is right.
