With NCB charging Rhea Chakraborty, the Bollywood drug cartel is set to face the music

It is said that the wheel of Justice turns slowly but it grinds exceedingly fine. There is finally a ray of hope for Justice in one case related to the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has submitted its charge sheet in the drug related case. In the charge sheet, NCB has named late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and 34 others as accused in this high-profile case.

Abetting SSR’s extreme addiction

There has been not been a single day when the heart-broken fans of Sushant Singh Rajput have given up hope for Justice. They have been relentlessly trending #Justice_For_SSR and other related hashtags to get a closure regarding the unfortunate and mysterious death case of Sushant.

On Wednesday, 13th July, NCB finally brought a big relief for all the SSR fans. It has filed a charge sheet in which it has named 35 persons as accused including late-actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty.

As per NDTV report, the NCB has charged actor Rhea Chakraborty for buying narcotics for her late actor-boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput, who died in mysterious circumstances on 14th June, 2020. Rhea has been charged with purchasing and financing a small quantity of marijuana.

As per ANI report, the NCB has accused her of receiving multiple ganja deliveries from other co-accused.

She allegedly made payments and delivered ganja to the late actor at the instance of her late boyfriend Sushant. She has been booked for committing an offence under sections 8[c] read with 20[b][ii]A, 27A,28, 29 and 30 of NDPS Act 1985.

The draft charges against Rhea states, “That in pursuance of aforesaid criminal conspiracy or otherwise, you accused no. 10 Rhea Chakroborty received many deliveries of ganja from Samuel Miranda, Showik Charoborty and Dipesh Sawant and others and handed over those deliveries to Actor late Sushant Singh Rajput and made payments for those deliveries at the instance Showik & Late Sushant Singh Rajput during the period March 2020 to September 2020.”

It added, “..thereby you have committed an offence u/s 8[c] r/w 20[b][ii]A, 27A,28, 29 & 30 of NDPS Act 1985″.

NCB’s take on other accused in the high-profile case

The NCB has said that the accused had entered a criminal conspiracy with each other for distribution of drugs “in high society and Bollywood”. The draft states that the accused continued to deliver drugs to Sushant since 2018. It added that in 2020, drugs were procured for Sushant’s consumption by the accused, including Sushant’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani. The draft claimed that Pithani “aided and abetted” the actor to “extreme drug addiction.” As per NCB’s claim, Pithani procured money for drugs from the actor’s bank account in the name of “Puja Samagri”.

The End is near for Bollywood Drug cartel

The investigation in the unfortunate and mysterious death case of Sushant Singh Rajput has opened a can of worms for Bollywood drug cartels. All their dirty dark secrets and skeletons are tumbling out from the closet. Raids, arrests and this charge sheet by the NCB have assured that all those big names will soon come under the clutches of law. The menace of drug and other illicit activities taking place in the entertainment industry will be finished once and for all.

Though the NCB has taken time in filing the charge sheet, it has made a water tight case against all the accused. Soon all the culprits in this case will be nabbed and sent behind bars with severe punishment being meted out to them.

Moreover, the drug angle is only one of the major aspects in the death of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The ED and CBI are also investigating the case. The fans of the late actor are hoping that on the lines of NCB, the real truth about the unfortunate death will come out very soon. The family and the fans will only get a closure after getting Justice for him.
