On a Congress ticket, she won the 2017 assembly election with a margin of more than 90,000 votes. On November 24, she formally joined BJP after being expelled from Congress due to her affiliation with the BJP. She is wed to Angad Singh Saini, a Nawanshahr-based MLA in the Punjab Legislative Assembly.

Her Father was an Indian politician- Akhilesh Kumar Singh lived from 15 September 1959 to 20 August 2019.
On July 23, 1959, Akhilesh Singh was born. In 1993, Singh ran for office in Rae Bareli Sadar as an Indian National Congress candidate, and he was first chosen to serve in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Singh maintained his ties to the Congress and was reelected twice, in 1996 and 2002.
Singh, who had been kicked out the Congress previous to the 2007 election, ran as an independent candidate and was elected to a fourth term in Congress. Singh joined the Peace Party of India and ran in the 2012 election. Singh’s daughter Aditi declared she will run for her father’s open seat in 2017, and she won on the banner of the Congress when his fifth legislature term ended.
