Rabish ki Yatra – From Janta ki Report to Absolute Frustration

“Aap Sabhi ko Namaskar, Janta ka Wafadar Mai Ravish Kumar.” There was a time when people used to stick to the TV and glued to their couches only to watch Ravish Kumar during his Primetime show. Moving forward to PM Modi’s era, Ravish Kumar, who was once the flag bearer of true journalism, is now reduced to a puppet and Modi-hater. Today, we will talk about his journey from hero to zero.

From a rural reporter to prime-time anchor

Ravish Kumar is one such journalist who could have contributed a lot to the field of journalism but lost his purpose and end up making a fool out of himself. Hailing from the small town of Motihari, Bihar, Ravish Kumar’s journey has been quite inspiring for any aspiring journalist. He joined NDTV in 1996 at the age of 22. During his initial days, his primary job was to sort out letters that knocked on NDTV’s mailbox. He observed the art of television reporting every day and after almost 3 years of television reporting, he was given an opportunity in the name of Ravish ki Report in 2000.

The show kept becoming bigger and bigger, and the common man connected with him because of his show that was based on the rural adversities of India.

His fact-based reporting and sarcastic commentary marked a new foundation of Hindi television journalism. From political scandals and state or national elections to dedicated programs for social issues, Kumar was arguably one of the best anchors in mainstream media.

Ravish becomes frustrated

In a blink of an eye, Ravish Kumar became a media sensation and began to be honoured with multiple awards. He was also honoured with Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Award for Hindi Journalism and Ramnath Goenka Award for Journalism. But then entered PM Modi in the picture. Ever since he took oath as the Prime Minister, it was obvious for us to understand that the liberal cabal will not support the Modi government. But little did we know that Ravish Kumar will be pained to this extent.

The change of power had hurt Ravish Kumar a lot. It appeared as though PM Narendra Modi was his enemy and whoever would dare to utter a word in his support, would be declared ‘Andhbhakt’ or Modibhakt. The term ‘Godi media’, which is often used by the liberal cabal to demean the media, is also one of the contributions done by Ravish Kumar.

It was his frustration that led to his self-destruction. This frustration also made him ruin others’ lives too. During the Pulwama attacks, he was one of those shameless few who openly endorsed the vitriol spread over the martyrs by the Caravan magazine.

Ravish also ordered that the media should not be covering the Indo-Pak issue during the same attacks as it would help BJP to win the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Fun fact, the self-declared liberal was himself extremely intolerant towards a passerby in Delhi when he caught him violating traffic rules. The passerby was not only stalked but also heckled by Ravish and his goons.

Ever since Islamists ran an anti-Hindu pogrom in Delhi, left-liberals like Ravish Kumar have been trying to frame Hindus for atrocities suffered by them. Instead of prioritising the news, his focus was to tarnish the image of Hindus by calling Shahrukh Pathan Anurag Mishra.

Ravish – the Facebook Journalist

In the year 2019, Ravish Kumar was awarded the Magsaysay Award for Journalism. Once a ground journalist to the one creating ruckus on Facebook, Ravish Kumar’s downfall was equally amazing. By the way, no one is unfamiliar with the level of journalism Ravish Kumar is doing nowadays.

The person who was once concerned about the citizen of the country is now worried about why he was not invited to Alia Bhatt’s wedding and why there is a “Brahmin Basti” in Delhi? He keeps posting on his Facebook account to criticise PM Modi and Hindus.

His double standards, hypocrisy, and misleading posts work well when it comes to dividing India based on religion, caste, and economic condition. The recent violent protests against the Agnipath scheme were fuelled by Ravish Kumar himself.

This is how Janta ka reporter turned into a frustrated journalist who keeps running propaganda against the central government but keeps biting the dust for his actions.
