It is public knowledge that the foundation of the aged-old Congress party is based on appeasement. Under the garb of ‘secularism’ and ‘freedom of speech’, the party has always been trying to appease the minority community in order to grab some votes and ensure political benefits. Now, Kamal Nath’s son has also jumped into the bandwagon to expose the ‘appeasement’ politics of Congress.
Kamal Nath’s son wipes away his Tilak
Congress MP Nakul Nath from Chhindwara was caught up in the controversies. Why? Well, it is because of the way he exposed the petty politics of the Congress party. A video of Nakul Nath doing a roadshow is going viral. In the video, he can be seen wiping off the tilak on his forehead and that too, before entering a Muslim majority area in his constituency in Madhya Pradesh.
For those unversed, Nakul Nath is the son of former Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath. Why him wiping off Tilak is being criticised? Why the action of Nakul Nath fumed the public? Well, it is because kumkum tilakis an important symbol of Hinduism. Nakul Nath, too, is a Hindu, and if he is ashamed of putting Tilak on his forehead only before entering the Islamist-dominated area in Parasia, Chhindwara district, it becomes obvious for people to fume in wrath.
BJP Delhi spokesperson Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga tweeted the video and slammed the Chhindwara Congress MP for the move only to appease the Muslim community. He wrote, “Kamal Nath’s son Nakul Nath removed tilak before entering in ‘their’ area”.

Another BJP member too hit out at Nakul Nath and said that it had exposed the Congress party’s mentality. “Kamal Nath’s son, Nakul Nath did not just remove his tilak before entering this peaceful area, he also exposed the Congress mentality in doing so. People like him are vultures feeding on the innocence of the public to build their castles.”

What angered people more was that the video was later removed from the Facebook account of Nakul Nath. This proved the fact that the MP did not want to enter the Muslim area with Tilak on its forehead as this could have adversely affected the vote bank of the Congress party.
Congress cannot shed its appeasement politics
Earlier as reported by TFI, Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, also popularly known as Jodhpur Discom running under the Gehlot Government had ordered to provide an uninterrupted power supply in the Muslim-dominated areas. It directed its engineers in 10 districts to ensure that there is no power cut during Ramzan in all “Muslim-dominated areas“.
The order issued on April 1 to Jodhpur DISCOM’s superintending engineers read, “The month of Ramzan is beginning from April 4. Do not go for shut down and ensure uninterrupted power supply in Muslim-dominated areas so that those observing Roza do not have any inconvenience.”
This makes the Hindu community ask why any order in the interest of Hindus has not been issued as Navratras are being celebrated.
Moreover, the Telangana Congress Secretary Rashed Khan had started a signature campaign to allow praying inside the Charminar complex which is a site protected by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). He had made an outrageous demand that if they are not allowed to pray, the ASI should shut down the Bhagya Lakshmi Temple near the Charminar. He had also warned that if they are not allowed to pray, they will stage a sit-in protest.

The Congress party’s pro-Muslim image is quite popular among the voters since 2014 when former Defense Minister AK Antony submitted a report on why congress was routed in the general election. During the Gujarat Election in 2018, the then-party President Rahul Gandhi started a soft-Hindutva makeover by running temples from pillar to post.
The party has also made alliances with Muslim-communal parties like the Indian Secular Front (ISF), a party of Peerzada Abbas Siddiqui, or All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) of Badruddin Ajmal or Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) in Kerala.
Now, with Nakul Nath wiping away his Tilak to appease the Muslims is the height of shamelessness and proves why the party is being criticised these days for being anti-Hindu.
