Jasmine Lister Biography and Career 

Jasmine Lister was born on May 12 in the year of 1992. She is a former collegiate and professional basketball player who is now an assistant coach with the DePaul University Women’s Basketball team. Prior to joining DePaul, Lister worked as an assistant coach for the University of Washington Women’s Basketball team during the 2016-2017 season.

Prior to joining the University of Washington, Jasmine Lister worked as a Graduate Assistant for the University of Connecticut Women’s Basketball team during their consecutive NCAA championship seasons in 2015 and 2016, where she earned a Master’s Degree in Sport Management.

College career of Jasmine Lister

Jasmine Lister studied as a student-athlete at Vanderbilt University from 2010 to 2014.  She was named All-SEC all four years of her college career, served as Team Co-Captain for three years, and led her team to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances.

After her senior year, Lister was named a WBCA All-American Honorable Mention. Lister led the team in scoring and minutes played as a freshman. She led the team and the SEC in assists as a sophomore. Lister led the team in assists and minutes played as a junior, as well as the SEC in minutes played.

As a senior, she led the team in assists and minutes played, and she led the SEC in minutes played for the second time. Lister had a torn labrum on her left side.

Early career

Jasmine Lister, a former WNBA player, and Vanderbilt graduate begin her first season as an assistant coach at the University of Washington. Jasmine Lister wanted to be a doctor when she was younger, but she eventually decided to become a basketball player. In 2010, she received the Varsity Basketball Leadership Award. She was also named Santiago High School Scholar-Athlete four years in a row.

WNBA

Jasmine Lister signed a training camp contract with the WNBA Seattle Storm in 2014. She made the final cut but was let go just two days before the season premiere. Shortly after leaving training camp, Lister was offered a position as a Graduate Assistant on Geno Auriemma’s staff at the University of Connecticut Women’s Basketball.

The Los Angeles Sparks signed Lister to a contract shortly after the start of the 2015 WNBA season, and she appeared in seven games that season. Lister signed a training camp contract with the WNBA Los Angeles Sparks in 2016, made the final cut, and then returned to UConn.
