When mechanization of industries was taking place, many believed that it would make the labour class jobless and leave them in the doldrums of poverty. Communists profoundly believed that the capitalists would become the master of produce, and mass profits of consumerism would increase inequality. But the fact is, mechanization democratized property ownership. With inventions, common people were empowered to create new lines of production and traditional businesses were modified according to modern demands.
In a way, the industrial revolution did not completely change the character of production, but some jobs were replaced, some were partially evolved and some never changed.
Similarly, with the growth of futuristic technologies like Automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI), it is predicted that they will replace everything in the world. These exaggerations are made by citing the magnificent technological capabilities of AI-based products. Although these developments in non-living things are really ground-breaking, but humans are the master of these products. These AIs cannot replace everything created by humans.
Completely replaceable Job or skills
There are certain skills and jobs which are repetitive and do not require any human touch in their working. The pre-installed programming in robots can create a standard procedure for working, and avoid the precious use of the brain in those simple and repetitive works.
Jobs like accountants, customer care representatives, services delivery, public transport, market research analysts, proofreaders, and soldiers. These mentioned job profiles require some sort of repetitive working skills and automation can completely replace these jobs.
For example, an accountant’s data maintenance job is almost repetitive in nature. The pre-installed programming in an automated machine can effectively carry out the required job. Similarly, if we see the market analyst job, these are mostly based on data compilation and results thereof. They provide standard market functioning and analysis. These can be replaced by automated machines. Further, the effectiveness and accuracy of the job can also be increased due to errorless programming installations.

Cannot be replaced
The fact is that humans are masters of robots. Human professionals decide the working profile of robots. Engineers and scientists decide what function a robot will do. The command and services principle totally applies in automation technologies. So the explicit use of the brain, imagination, creativity, and strategic thinking capabilities cannot be installed in an automated machine.
If we see the skills of a lawyer, leader, doctor, and human resources professionals, these are the kind of job profiles that a robot cannot perform. Any kind of artificial intelligence cannot match the level of emotional intelligence of a human. These job profiles require working under different conditions. With the change of circumstances, the working pattern also changes. These works involve the active critical thinking and emotion of a human being.
For example, a lawyer’s work cannot be pre-installed in any non-living machine and justice cannot be established through the machine. A machine cannot make rational arguments and establish social relationships. Human intervention will always be necessary to create a social & equitable nature of working. Similarly, a machine cannot become a doctor as similar kinds of human thinking are also required in the job.
Partially replaceable skills
Evolution is a natural phenomenon. There is rarely any skill that can be completely replaced. The interconnectedness and interdependencies will always be there in working. Working itself is a social phenomenon. Some tasks might be turned into fully automatic mode, but there will be some associated tasks that will require human intervention. For example, if we consider the business analytics and decision thereof, then it can be said that a combination of both human and AI will create some sort of perfection in work.
On one hand, automation and artificial intelligence will provide synchronized data of business, and market strategists can take decisions thereof. Similarly, automation and blockchain technology can be used in the judicial process for the compilation and gradation of cases. It cannot replace the job of a judge and a lawyer. So, automation and AI cannot replace everything in the world. But, the world will use automation and AI according to their needs.
