Arvind Kejriwal, we hope you remember your Nani’s “golden advice on mandirs”

Hindu Kejriwal

Many politicians have earned disrepute of being a hypocrite. For scoring political brownie points they find Hindus as their soft target. To appease its vote bank, parties at will, devise policies, make statements that hurt the sentiments and feelings of Hindus. The naked show of this abhorrent appeasement politics was witnessed during the struggle for Ram Mandir.
The legal battle of Hindus was mocked, ridiculed, lambasted and sermonised by several parties including the new entrepreneurial one, Aam Aadmi Party led by Arvind Kejriwal. However, even after so much hatred for the Indian Civilisation and Hindu Dharma, they hypocritically project themselves as the champion of Hindu rights, obviously at the eleventh hour of election. The same hypocritical circle is being witnessed in Gujarat.

Elections! Let’s camp at Mandirs, Shall We?

The poll bugle for the Gujarat assembly election has been sounded. All the parties are strengthening their forts and working on strategies to win the crucial state election. The regional party, AAP, too has started its campaign in the state. On one hand, AAP National Convenor Kejriwal promises of Free Rewadis, while on the other hand he seems to have drowned himself neck deep in the stream of Soft Hindutva.

Kejriwal is camping Mandirs to woo the majority community, the video of which is going viral. However, the cause of its becoming viral is completely the opposite of what he would have wanted it to be. His soft Hindutva tactics have been shredded by AAP’s Gujarat President Gopal Italia.

In the viral video, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is accompanied by a rabid Hindu hater Gopal Italia. Earlier, AAP’s state leader Italia made abhorrent statements against Hindus practicing the ritual and prayers of “Bhagwan Satyanarayan“. He drew derogatory parallels of the pooja rituals with the Hijda community.

Soft Hindutva is nothing but a sham, a hogwash

After 2014, soft Hindutva has become the prime tool for some opposition parties to put dirt in the eyes of the voters. In the run up to elections they project themselves as the devout Dharmic and deploy overt tactics of appeasement politics  rather than being bold and covert about it. AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal seem to be the champion in this ugly facet of politics.

After the Supreme Court’s landmark judgement on Ram Mandir, we witnessed a great somersault. The proponents and champions of “Open School/college instead of Ram Mandir” shamelessly and conveniently took a u-turn and tried to gain political benefit out of that outcome as well. This was completely opposite to their previous public stand. Bizzare to note before every election they pipe a complete opposite tune. Many political analysts have termed such opportunistic politics as “Chunavi Hindu” (Election time Hindu).

Before the apex court’s historic verdict on Ram Mandir, AAP and its top leaders, Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, incessantly attacked the Hindu side. They kept objecting to the rights of the Hindus on the Birthplace of Bhagwan Shri Ram. Delhi CM Kejriwal invoked his Nani to appease the Muslim community. Through that he questioned the legitimacy of the Hindu side and sermonised that his Nani’s Ram can’t reside in a Mandir built by destroying a Masjid.

His deputy Manish Sisodia kept ranting the advice of ‘Building School/college’ instead of a Bhavya (grand) Ram Mandir at the birthplace of Shri Ram.

There is a famous saying that you can fool some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all the people all the time. Apparently, the same seems to be holding true in case of this. The soft Hindutva card seems to have backfired on the AAP Convenor Kejriwal and all their past anti-Hindu statements are coming back to haunt them.

Therefore, it is time for him to realise that these election tactics won’t work and his party’s anti-Hindu deeds will cost his party dearly. So, he can keep reminiscing his Nani’s advice on Mandirs as long as his tenure doesn’t end because such tactics keep on repeating, a long political career for such party’s is next to impossible.
