The excavations in Mainpuri’s Ganeshpur village illustrate Hindus’ sophisticated weaponry

copper weapons

Democratization of knowledge and information has helped to nullify many so-called intellectuals’ manufactured theories. To divide India & advance colonial rule, Britishers and their court’s poets cooked a lot of theories. The most controversial one was the Aryan invasion theory. It effectively planted the seeds of division and challenged the integrity of our nation. But, independence from the dirt of colonial powers provided ground for truth ‘excavation’ and helped in debunking these manufactured theories.

4000 years of the warrior class in India

Recently, around 4000 years old (2000 BCE) copper weapons were found in UP’s Mainpuri. The weapons include a large number of copper sophisticated swords & harpoons. Weapons seem to be made with high precision as they are big and come close to 4 feet long.

Earlier this month, when a farmer in the area was levelling his two-bigha agricultural field, he found a large number of copper swords & harpoons under the soil. Thinking of precious & gold objects, he took them home. But locals informed the Archaeological Survey of India & assessed the weapons. Archaeologists believe that the weapons found are highly sophisticated and suggest the existence of a warrior class society.

Importance of findings

It is important to understand that the chalcolithic period (Copper age) varies from 2500-700 BCE and the mature period of the Indus Valley Civilization was also the same (2500-1700 BCE). It is alleged by some scholars that due to the invasions of Aryan in the northwest part of India, the local culture of Harappa vanished, and thereafter the Aryan expedition progressed. As the Harappan culture was based on commerce.

But the successive excavation in the Gangetic plains states some sort of different story. Because the Harappa was based on bronze culture and the Chalcolithic period was based on copper culture and both the civilizations are contemporary to each other. Further, findings of such a sophisticated weapon from the Gangetic region give the idea that the society was a warrior class and they were using such copper swords in the same contemporary times. So, the concept of fighting deadly wars was pre-existing in India and the Aryan invasion theory was falsely manufactured.

The existence of the warrior class has been proven from the earlier excavation of the Sinauli (Baghpat) region. From Sinauli, similar kinds of copper engraved shields, antenna swords with intact copper wired wooden hilts and chariots have been discovered. Further, historians also believe the findings suggest the presence of women warriors in ancient times.

So, the mass use of copper’s sophisticated weapons suggests that 4000 years ago when Indus Valley Civilization was flourishing in the north western part with commercial dominated culture, the Gangetic plains had developed warrior culture contemporary to Harappa. When in chalcolithic times, we were manufacturing sophisticated weapons to fight then how it can be possible that any invasions can thoroughly rout us. So, it will be correct to say that the Aryan invasion theory was deliberately manufactured to divide us.
