Shiv Sena’s 6-point resolution is possibly the most laughable joke of the year

Bal Keshav Thackeray was an astute political figure in the state of Maharashtra. The founder of Marmik and Saamna carved out a niche in politics for himself, the politics of Marathi manus and Hindutva. However, he was not a ‘Brahmachari’ and hence was married to Mina Thackeray. The couple had three sons, Binu Madhav, Jaidev and Uddhav.

There is a difference between a father and a leader, but the non-political Chief Minister of Maharashtra fails to understand this. A father’s legacy doesn’t remain constrained to the family, if he lived a public life, especially as large as BalaSaheb Thackeray.

Hopeless Shiv Sena declares Uddhav as its leader

Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray held a National Executive meeting of the Shiv Sena, in which six-point resolutions were passed. The resolutions’ focus lies mainly on two things; first that Uddhav Thackeray has all the powers to take action against the ‘rebels’, and second that Bal Thackeray singularly belongs to Uddhav Thackeray and not-so-his Shiv Sena. The meeting of national executives was based on a clear agenda of resuscitating the dying ShivSena.

ShivSena in its national executive meeting passed six resolutions which authorised Uddhav Thackeray to take legal actions against the rebel MLAs. The resolution depicted the agony of Thackeray and what a sinking leader does, he moulds the allegiance of the party towards himself.

Uddhav Thackeray has resorted to same tactic, he has now placed the gun on BalaSaheb’s shoulder and is attempting to raise strong sentiments in favour of him, as he knows he himself has no base.

MVA ally Shiv Sena resorts to BalaSaheb’s Hindutva

Eknath Shinde has been a devoted follower of party founder BalaSaheb Thackeray. And the thing that irked him the most is that the party ditched his ideologies and turned ‘secular’ under the influence of Congress and NCP.

This might have been the reason behind Shinde claiming to form an offshoot that should strictly follow the principles of Bal Thackeray. However, fearing this the resolution was brought in which stated that the Shiv Sena belongs to Balasaheb Thackeray and nobody is authorised to use his name and form a new group. The resolution further states that the party will take legal action against those using Balasaheb’s name and will also approach the election commission. Thus, warning the Shinde faction for using Bala Saheb’s name.

Uddhav Thackeray seems to have sensed the situation and thus has resorted to chanting the mantras of Hindutva and Marathi Manus coded by Bal Thackeray. The resolution too reflected the same, as the newly turned secular party of Maharashtra, Shiv Sena has insisted that there will be no compromise on the ideology of a united Maharashtra, emphasising that the ideology of Bal Thackeray will not be compromised. Well, this can be the biggest joke of the year.
