Shekhar Ravjiani, an Indian singer, music director, record producer, and actor, was born on November 29, 1976. Since 1999, he has been one half of the Vishal-Shekhar Bollywood composing/producing partnership. Career
Shekar was a talented musician from his early days. He started his career in advertisement and later as a music composer in the 90s. He was doing a song for a movie when he found that his childhood friend Vishal Dadlani was also working on the same movie. That incident changed the lives of both the composer and they did the last song of that movie together. Later they decided to come together and this is how the duo Vishal-Shekhar came into being.
Beginning his career, Ravjiani worked in advertising. He was chosen after his Sa Re Ga Ma Pa audition. He later joined the Vishal-Shekhar duet. Both in 2007 and 2010, the duo served as judges for Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and produced numerous Bollywood songs. The popular songs “Tujhe Bhula Diya,” “Bin Tere,” and “Meherbaan” were all sung by Ravjiani.

He also wrote many lyrics for songs in Bollywood songs. Some of the best lyrics are- Anjaana Anjaani (2010) – “Aas Pas Khuda”, “Aas Pas Khuda (Reprise)” (Along with Vishal Dadlani)
Ra one (2011) – “Chamak Chalo”, “Chamak Chalo (International)” (Along with Vishal Dadlani, Niranjan Iyengar)
