Kamalnath’s top aide heaps praise on Jinnah and justifies India’s partition

For the majority of the time, Indian politics had mainly always revolved around two parties BJP and Congress. Having a responsible opposition is intrinsic to every political setup. But Congress has just been a popular opposition rather than a “responsible” one. The recent statements by a party member can lay the evidence for the same.

Congress over Jinnah

Recently, a senior Congress MLA Sajjan Singh Verma sparked a new controversy through his remarks. He commented on the partition of India and Pakistan in 1947. Sajjan called the division by Jawaharlal Nehru and Muhammad Ali Jinnah as an act of wisdom. Moreover, he also termed Jinnah as a freedom fighter.

He said, “The division of the country into two by Nehru and Jinnah was an act of wisdom. Jinnah was a freedom fighter, and this should be remembered. He did not break the country but did the right thing. Was he not a freedom fighter? Jinnah did not divide but did well for the country. If all would be there, would they go? Does the definition of a freedom fighter change because of one being a Muslim? The BJP is propagating this culture. PM Modi in his January 26 speech said that Jawaharlal Nehru and Jinnah are responsible for dividing the country in 1947. The country should thank the two leaders as they did the work of wisdom by dividing the country into two parts.”

Terming the bloody partition as an act of wisdom, Sajjan added, “It was an act of wisdom to divide the country into two parts and make separate countries for Hindus and Muslims to stop communal violence that erupted during the time of independence.”

Is Congress against India?

The Congress party has always been at the centre of controversies affecting national integrity. It’s just another episode of Congress’ ditching its own nation for political gains. Disrespecting India which also had a congress-led government clarifies the level to which they can stoop.

Anyone supporting the destructors of India can never be laid off irrespective of the political party they belong to. Even the saffron party leader L.K. Advani was thrashed for his outrageous actions. He got into the wreath of controversies when he went to offer “Chadar” at Jinnah’s tomb in Pakistan. He is quietly ‘enjoying’ his retirement as part of ”margdarshan mandal ” of BJP.

Anyone who supports the shredder of India will not be spared and will be punished for the heinous words disregarding the Indian territory or its culture. Inflammatory statements by Congress members stand on the borderline of freedom of speech and sedition. Because it’s not the first time that they have stoned the glass of Indian politics when their own inner politics is made up of glass.

The history of Congress in support of Jinnah

Earlier, a suspended congress party leader Mani Shankar Aiyar praised Muhammad Ali Jinnah over his portrait at the Aligarh Muslim University. Another such derogatory statement was made by Shatrughan Sinha when he said that Pakistan’s founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah is a member of the Congress family and lauded him for his ‘role’ in India’s independence.

It has been a history of the Congress party who has always believed in the notion that Jinnah was a freedom fighter and that the partition initiated by him was a blessing for the world. Even after the excessive practice of the congress party to control its inner voice for Pakistan and Jinnah, its party leaders have often failed to control their actual believing.
