Mayank Markande is an Indian cricketer who currently plays for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2022. (IPL). Mayank is a Patiala native. He was born on November 11, 1997, in Bathinda, Punjab, India. Domestic Cricket career
On 14 January 2018, he made his Twenty20 debut for Punjab in the 2017–18 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He was purchased for merely 20 lakhs by the Mumbai Indians in the 2018 IPL auction in January 2018. On 7 February 2018, he made his List A debut for Punjab in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy at Bengaluru.
He debuted in the Indian Premier League in 2018 for the Mumbai Indians franchise. His combined bowing figures in his first two bouts were 8-0-46-7. He was picked to India B’s squad for the 2018–19 Deodhar Trophy in October 2018. On November 1, 2018, he made his first-class debut for Punjab in the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy.
With 29 dismissals in six games, he was Punjab’s leading wicket-taker in the tournament.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) designated him one of eight players to watch ahead of the 2019 Indian Premier League competition in March 2019.
He was picked to India C’s squad for the 2019–20 Deodhar Trophy in October 2019.
International career
He was picked to India’s team for the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup in December 2018. He was included in India’s Twenty20 International (T20I) squad for the series against Australia in February 2019. On February 24, 2019, he made his T20I debut for India against Australia.
IPL
He made his IPL debut against Chennai Super Kings for Mumbai Indians. Mayank Markande made his IPL debut with three wickets. He took three wickets in total.
In the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League competition, he was bought back by the Mumbai Indians in February 2022.

He attended Patiala’s Yadavindra Public School and was a member of the school’s cricket squad. In February 2019, he made his international debut for the Indian cricket team. When the first edition of the IPL was played in 2008, Mayank was only ten years old.
When Markande trapped MS Dhoni LBW with a googly that skidded through in the IPL 2018 opener, he made a name for himself.
In the first T20I against Australia, Mayank was given his first Team India cap. In the shortest format of the game, Markande became the 79th player to represent India.
