Tracing PK’s No to Congress

Poll strategist Prashant Kishor recently denied Congress’s offer to join the grand old party as part of the EAG (Empowered Action Group). While declining the offer he also pointed out that Congress needs leadership and collective will to fix the deep-rooted structural problems through transformational reforms.

It was known to all that PK is anyway going to decline Congress’ offer and the offered post was never going to satisfy PK’s ambitions. But not to forget, Kishor is the lucky chap, who might have many tragedies attached to his name, but he has a sense of timing. Such good are his skills that no matter who wins, he earns.

Prashant Kishor: A snake oil salesman

Prashant Kishor is the man who played a smart bet on PM Narendra Modi in 2014 and encashed the Modi wave. Not only this, but he also gained brownie points by ‘crowning’ Nitish Kumar in Bihar and Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal. Swayed by these perfectly timed bets, PK managed to paint himself as a man who sells electoral dreams in the Indian political circles.

If someone has followed PK’s journey till now, it will be clearly evident that no matter who wins the election or who loses it, PK always earns. He is s pro when it comes to choosing good opportunities and encashing them to enhance his credibility as a ‘poll strategist’. He is Aamir Khan of the Indian political scenario who always chooses a good script. And now the ‘Aamir Khan’ of Indian politics who once wanted to be the ‘Chanakya’ of Indian politics, has changed his track and now aims at being the Chandragupta himself.
