Sherin Shringar often known as Sherin or Shirin is an Indian actress who has worked in films in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu. She is active in the industry but after 2015 there is no notable work she has done as an actress. Career

These early days were her glory days and she did numerous films during this period.

Sherin Shringar made her Kannada film debut in the film Dhruva (2002), in which she co-starred with Darshan.

Sherin’s debut Tamil film, Kasthuri Raja’s coming-of-age drama Thulluvadho Ilamai, received critical acclaim and box office success (2002).

Starring Dhanush in his acting debut, the film received buzz before its release due to Yuvan Shankar Raja’s soundtrack and Selvaraghavan’s adult plot. It went on to become a box office hit, effectively launching Sherin and Dhanush’s careers.

For her portrayal, the actress received the Cinema Express Award for Most Popular Actress, and she went on to star in the Telugu adaptation Juniors (2003).

Sherin Shringar went on to star in supporting parts with seasoned actresses Ramya Krishnan in Jaya (2002) and Simran in Kovilpatti Veeralakshmi (2003), as well as in the horror-thriller Whistle (2003) and the opposite debutant Sibi Sathyaraj in Student Number 1.

Later, Sherin worked in Telugu and Malayalam films, including Krishna Vamsi’s suspense play Danger (2005).

Sabbatical

Sherin Shringar starred alongside Vikram in Linguswamy’s Bheema (2008) in an item song. Other films, such as the Kannada film Sihigali and the Tamil film Poova Thalaiya, had their release dates pushed back in 2010. Sherin then took a career hiatus in the late 2000s, briefly enrolling in a study in Art and Culture in Sydney.

Sherin’s opportunities as a leading actress began to dwindle in the late 2000s, and several films in which she had starred were later postponed or canceled. Bhoopathi, a comeback to Kannada films, and Urchagam, a Tamil action drama, both bombed at the box office.

A six-film deal with SPR Productions fell through, and Cash and Maya with Shaam, as well as the S. J. Surya-starrer Vil, were canceled in the middle of production.

Comeback

She returned to Kannada cinema with Om Prakash Rao’s AK 56 (2012), in which she co-starred in with Siddhanth and had a positive critical reception. Her next film was the comic drama Nanbenda (2015), in which she played a supporting role opposite comedian Santhanam.

In 2019, she competed in the Tamil reality television show Bigg Boss Tamil 3 as a participant.
