Shenaz Treasury Biography and Career

Shenaz Treasury is an Indian actress also known as Shenaz Treasurywala was born in Mumbai on June 29, 1981, to a Parsi family. Her father worked as a marine engineer. Shenaz studied in Mumbai and New York, and before working in films, she had a successful career in television. She appeared in numerous adverts in addition to being a video jockey on MTV. Career

Her first modeling job was for the soft drink Gold Spot after she was discovered by a photographer during her freshman year of college. She also did promotional work for Akai and Philips before being appointed as a VJ on MTV’s Most Wanted by MTV Networks Asia.

Her acting debut was in the Telugu film Eduruleni Manishi, which was followed by the Bollywood film Ishq Vishk, which got her a nomination for the Filmfare Film Awards’ best-supporting actress award.

She authored travel stories for Cosmopolitan, Elle, and Femina because she has always loved to travel.

As of the early 2010s, Treasurywala is based in Mumbai, India, and hosts the Travel Channel show Culture Shock.

In 2011, she was cast in a recurring role in the American soap series One Life to Live as Rama Patel. She signed a contract with the show a few months later until it was canceled in 2012, and then returned as a contract player when the show began showing webisodes in 2013.

After meeting director Ken Ghosh at a Mumbai nightclub, Treasury came to India to visit her family and was offered a leading role in Ishq Vishk.

Shenaz Treasury starred in the films Aagey Se Right and Radio in 2009. Luv Ka The End, which she penned the screenplay for and starred in, was released in 2011. She was also in the film Delhi Belly. She’s in the movie Main Aur Mr. Riight.

She appeared on Comedy Central’s The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore as a contributor and occasional panelist in 2015.

She starred as Kumail Nanjiani’s sister-in-law in the critically acclaimed independent film The Big Sick in 2017. On October 28, 2018, she presented the “WWE Evolution” All-Women Special Wrestling Event.

Shenaz Treasury rose to prominence in the Telugu film ‘Edhuruleni Manishi’ before moving to Bollywood. After this film, she worked in the Bollywood film Ishq Vishk in 2003, which launched her Bollywood career.

She was born into a Parsi household and her father is a merchant marine engineer. Treasurywala went to St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai for school and college. She relocated to New York City in 2001 to pursue a degree in method acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. She also took a writing course at NYU while in New York.

Shenaz Treasurywala wrote an open letter to the most powerful people in India, including Narendra Modi, Sachin Tendulkar, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Anil Ambani, on women’s safety in India in December 2014, just days before the release of her film Main Aur Mr. Riight (on December 12).
