It appears that every country and its parliament have an MP that suffers from the Mahua Moitra syndrome. In this syndrome, a political leader, often uninformed and consumed by hatred for the ruling disposition tends to make big, rabble-rousing statements in parliament for views, clicks and media attention.
While the TMC leader is downright uncouth in her wild passionate outbursts in the parliament, it looks like she may still have found takers abroad. A British-origin Indian MP recently went on a lengthy monologue, questioning and criticizing the Indian government for using Bulldozers to raze down illegal Muslim houses. Yep, a British MP, sitting thousands of miles away, seemingly had the interest of Delhi’s municipality in her heart. However, she was quickly shut down by Union Minister Kiren Rijiju.
Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju on Sunday tore into wannabe woke Indian-origin British MP Nadia Whittome after she attempted to gain political points by trying to castigate the Indian government for maintaining law and order. Taking to Twitter, Rijiju opined that the young British MP Nadia Whittome was unaware of the reality and portrayed a negative image of Indians.
The Union Minister blamed the negative campaign launched by the ‘tukde-tukde gang’, who, according to him, only aims to ‘discredit the efforts’ taken by the PM Narendra Modi-led union government.
Rijiju tweeted, “I don’t blame the young British MP who is unaware of reality & portrays negative image of Indian. It’s the result of the negative campaigns launched by the Tukde-Tukde gang who’s only aim is to discredit the huge achievements of @narendramodi Govt. India believes in Rule of Law.”
Moreover, referring to another British MP who was mum on atrocities inflicted by Pakistan in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, Rijiju remarked, “This young MP @NadiaWhittomeMP is an Indian origin yet defaming India! She is simply a victim of Tukde-Tukde gang’s anti-India campaign! The other MP @zarahsultana is originally from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir yet she can’t see the terrible abuse of human rights in POK!”

Nadia and her tirade
Earlier in her tirade, Nadia had criticized the ‘bulldozing of Muslim homes & shops’ and also questioned Boris Johnson’s visit to the JCB factory in Gujarat.
Nadia said, “We know that during the Prime Minister’s visit he was photographed leaning out of a digger in a JCB factory, and just days before, the BJP used JCB diggers to bulldoze Muslim shops and homes and the gate of a mosque in New Delhi. Local government in a number of other Indian states have also carried out similar demolitions.”
She further added, “So, I ask again, did the Prime Minister raise this with Modi? If not, why not? And does the Minister accept that the Prime Minister’s visit to India has helped to legitimise the actions of Modi’s far-right government?”
What happened in Jahangirpuri?
As reported extensively by TFI, after violence broke out against the Hindu community on Hanuman Janamotsav last month in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area – the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) started a two-day demolition drive amid strong police presence to rid the area of illegal structures and encroachments.
The Municipality simply removed the illegal structures, irrespective of the religion of the occupants. However, the British MP, swayed by the reporting of India’s Islamo-leftist media channels took the bait and like a rebel woke teenager, regurgitated the outburst in the British parliament.

Nadia and her revisionism of the violence by Islamist rioters
Never once in her speech Nadia remarked how Islamist terrorists performed the naked dance of death of ‘secularism’ in the heart of Delhi. She failed to acknowledge how without the fear of law, the said Islamists went on rampage against a peaceful Hindu procession.
It is pertinent to note that Criminal jurisprudence of punishment states that to bring peace to the society the punishment should not only be retributive to the offender but should also instil fear in the eyes of potential lawbreakers. Following the theory of criminology, the Bulldozer model of UP is somewhat setting the example. Earlier in UP, riots were seen as common law and order problem. But, after the constant action against the illegal and unauthorised property of these rioters and their masterminds, not a single incident of riots was reported in this festive season in the most populated state of the country.

Criminals thrive on illegal earnings. The courage to break the law comes from the uncountable wealth generated through organised crimes. Investment in properties is the biggest tool for rounding the illegal money. Thus, the government took the brave call to dismantle the illegal structures so that the rioters could not stage a similar situation.
Moreover, it sends a message to the ilk of them that the government will take drastic steps if push comes to shove. However, safe to say, the British MPs on their high horses only tend to perceive one side of the reality.
