Dear Liberals, at least listen to your respected Bapu

The opposition, liberals, and Islamists have finally united. Who bought them together? Well, it is the saffron party and the Modi government. How? They have come together to oppose the Hindutva ideology of the BJP. Why? To oppose the government’s stance on temples and their efforts to reclaim them.

But why are the saffron party and this group of opposition and liberals so different from each other? That’s because the saffron party sticks to its core ideology and does not ditch this idea for the sake of ‘petty politics’.  On the other hand, liberals’ hypocrisy can put even chameleons to shame. They do not think twice before going against their own ‘Bapu’ or we can say, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi only for the political benefits. Here’s how.

The court-mandated videography survey of the Gyanvapi Masjid complex was completed a few days back. The survey team reportedly found a Shivling inside the well. The Shivling is 12 feet by 8 inches in diameter.

The discovery of a Shivling from within the Gyanvapi Masjid forced liberals and their allies to have repeated bouts of panic seizures. Moreover, with a slogan like “Mathura abhi baaki hai”, Yogi Adityanath has also forced liberals to cry through their noses.

But what is troubling me is how can liberals oppose their ‘Father of the nation’? Yes, you heard it right.

Mahatma Gandhi had opposed the demolition of temples

Amidst the ongoing mandir-masjid controversy across the country, Mahatma Gandhi’s one statement is going viral on social media. Interestingly, a newspaper clipping from 1937, purportedly shows Mahatma Gandhi’s statement on temples that can be read as “the mosques built by demolishing temples were a sign of slavery.”

The newspaper clipping from July 27, 1937, from Navjeevan Patrika, is being widely shared and going viral.

Mahatma Gandhi, in the article, wrote, “It is a very heinous sin to damage any place of worship. During the Mughal period, due to religious fanaticism, the Mughal rulers occupied many religious places of Hindus. Many of these were looted and destroyed and many were converted into mosques. Although both temples and mosques are holy places of worship of God and there is no difference between the two, the worship tradition of both Hindus and Muslims is different.”

The right-wing activists have been trying to make these liberals understand what Gandhi had already said in 1937. ‘Bapu’ further added in the article, “From a religious point of view, a Muslim can never tolerate that a Hindu loots the mosque where he has been praying. Similarly, a Hindu will never tolerate that his temple, where he has been worshipping Ram, Krishna, Vishnu and other gods, be demolished. Where such incidents have happened, these are signs of slavery. Both Hindus and Muslims should decide between themselves about such places where disputes take place. Those places of worship of Muslims which are in the possession of Hindus, Hindus should generously give them to Muslims. Similarly the religious places of Hindus which are in possession of Muslims should be happily handed over to Hindus. This will remove mutual discrimination and unity among Hindus and Muslims will increase, which will prove to be a blessing for a country like India.”

Mandir-masjid controversy

Hindus of the country seem to have woken up to the grim reality of civilisational subjugation of their religion. They are hell-bent on reclaiming the legacy of their religion. Truth is being sought in a manner never seen before in history.

A fresh petition has been filed in the local Court of Mathura. Manish Yadav, a person belonging to the Yadav clan (of Bhagwan Krishna) has requested the Court to conduct a videography catalysed survey of Shahi Idgah Masjid.

As reported by TFI, the battle for Krishna Janmabhoomi began with the Mathura Civil Court’s notices to Shahi Idgah masjid’s management committee and others, seeking their stand on the plea for removal of the masjid from the Mandir complex.

Before the attempts to reclaim Krishna Janmabhoomi, the struggle for the Gyanvapi Masjid complex was already being carried out. The survey of the ‘Gyanvapi Mandir’ has revealed that the existing mosque was built by the conversion of a Hindu temple.

Moreover, when the Ram Mandir bhumipujan took place in 2020, every Hindu had tears in their eyes.

While every nationalist is heaping praise on the Modi government to revive their historical values, liberals are leaving no stone unturned to label the BJP government as a “Hindu extremist”

The list of such temples is endless

There are around 300 temples in Uttar Pradesh where evidence has been found of temples being demolished to construct mosques, dargahs and other Muslim monuments. In these cases, the Muslim monuments have been built on the ruins of the demolished Hindu temples.

It is pertinent to note that the Islamic invasion witnessed a number of prominent temples being destroyed and converted into mosques, such as the Kashi Vishwanath in Varanasi which was converted into the Gyanvapi Mosque, the Krishna temple in Mathura which was converted into Idgah Mosque, the Adinath temple in Malda that was converted into Adina Mosque, the Kali temple in Srinagar that was converted into Khanqah-e-Moula and the list goes on endless.

The existence of any structure by the conversion of Hindu temples into Islamic architecture is nothing but an attempt to add insult to injuries of the Hindus. So, it becomes a moral as well as a legal obligation to collectively rectify the historical injustices. Liberals, however, have the least idea of how much it pains to be attacked in their own country. Well, what they can do is at least listen to the ‘Bapu’.
