She is the younger sister of actress Yami Gautam and the daughter of director Mukesh Gautam. Surilie Gautam’s parents were supportive, and her sister served as a role model for her. She went into law and is now acting, following in Yami’s footsteps. She’s also her biggest supporter.
In November 2013, she married Jasraj Singh Bhatti, the son of Savita Bhatti and the late Indian comedian and satirist Jaspal Bhatti. Surilie fell in love with Jasraj Bhatti, the principal actor, during the filming of Power Cut. They keep their affair hidden for a while. When they chose to marry, their romance became public.
The marriage took place with the agreement of Jaspal Bhatti, who welcomed Surilie as his daughter-in-law while he was still alive, according to Savita Bhatti. Their engagement took place before the release of their film, and they planned to marry soon after.
The marriage was postponed due to the unfortunate death of Jaspal Bhatti in an accident. The collision left her and Jasraj gravely injured. They ultimately married in a tiny ceremony on November 19, 2013. The wedding took held in Panchkula, near Chandigarh, at The Fort Ramgarh. Later, on November 21, a reception was held at the Hotel Mountview in Chandigarh, which was attended by several family members and television personalities.
She proceeded to YPS Mohali for her education and later graduated from SD College Chandigarh before moving to Mumbai to live with her sister. She graduated from the Indian School of Media in Mumbai with a degree in media and event management.
