With a firm push for education once again, the Yogi Adityanath’s government has yet again busted the lies of Liberals about the state of UP. The attempt to stigmatise UP as cow belt, orthodox, with no focus on health and education, only Hindutva, etc. has failed miserably as Yogi Adityanath has re-launched his successful ‘Operation Kalakalp’ with a month-long ‘School Chalo Abhiyan’.
School Chalo Abhiyan
After 2 years of Covid induced break, Yogi Adityanath on 4th April, Monday started “School Chalo Abhiyan’ which is to carry on the success of ‘Operation Kayakalp’ launched in 2017 and take enrollment to a saturation level of 100% in primary and upper primary schools in the state. The focus will be on districts with low literacy rates like Shravasti, Bahraich, Balrampur, Badaun, and Rampur. The CM knowingly launched the campaign from the district of Shravasti as it has the least literacy rate in the state.

The push of the CM is to improve the infrastructure of schools in the State and provide them with well-equipped libraries, Smart classes, better furniture, and toilets. He gave details about how things were mismanaged before 2017 and how his government gave free books, two sets of uniforms, shoes, socks, and sweaters. He also asked the Education-departments officials and public representatives to talk to Alumni and launch a door-to-door campaign to improve the enrollment ratio.

Yogi Aditynath on the launch said,” Since the launch of Operation Kayakalp in 2017, 1.34 lakh primary schools have undergone a facelift in UP with the provision of drinking water facilities, furniture, construction of toilets, inclusion of smart classes, and improvement in the quality of mid-day meals. Now, I want you to adopt the remaining schools for their modernisation.” He also said that changes in the curriculum should be made to include the lives of the great people of India.

Yogi’s other Educational Push
Yogi Adityanath himself is a Science graduate who understands the significance of education and has been working for decades in the administration of the Gorakhnath math which runs hospitals, schools, and colleges. He is the chancellor of Mahayogi Gorakhnath University inaugurated in 2021 by President Ram Nath Kovind. As CM, he is rapidly working on building medical colleges in every district of UP. Under his leadership, the state now has the most number of medical colleges in India. He has also started a drive to equip students with smartphones and tablets on a rapid scale.

He is following the footsteps of Bharat Ratna and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Atal Ji started Sarva Sikha Abhiyan (SSA) which brought huge success to primary education in India. He later brought the Right to Education (RTE) as a Fundamental Right (FR) for children in the age group of 6 to 14.

Yogi Adityanath, contrary to the image shown by the media houses has been tirelessly working to improve the education system in UP and has immediately swung into action after the election victory. He has re-started his earlier successful campaign ‘Operation Kayakalp’ with a new fervour.
The success of Operation Kayakalp, Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, gives hope that this Abhiyan will be successful in achieving close to 100% enrollment. UP will emerge as a role model in the education field with actual success, not with fake advertisements like the AAP government’s model. The liberals will either understand Yogi’s successful model and change their false perception of UP or will have eggs on their faces again.
