Welcome to Kerala – Where answer sheets are distributed in place of question papers

paper quotes

If you do it once, it is a mistake, if you repeat that mistake, then it becomes a pattern but if you do it thrice, then rest assured that it is a habit. The Communist regime in Kerala seems to have made it a habit to ruin the careers of young bright minds in the state.

Goof Up: Incompetence or Corruption in Education Sphere

After Kerala University, Kannur University also played with students’ lives. In February a BSc Fourth semester Electronics exam of ‘Signal and System’ saw a serious lapse when instead of question papers, students were given Answer sheets. The lapse came to light very late when the evaluation process unearthed it. While asking for the question paper and answer sheet, the evaluators realized that instead of question paper, the administration had distributed answer sheets. After noticing the blunder, a complaint was raised. The most tragic thing is that not even a single student, invigilator or exam controller reported the matter. So far, no action has been taken against the guilty officials.

The three cancelled exams include a third semester botany exam and two BSc psychology papers.

The Kerala governor Arif Mohammad Khan being the de-facto Chancellor of the Kannur University had sought a report in this matter. He lashed out at the incompetence and abject condition of Higher education in the state. He also said that individuals responsible for this fiasco should take responsibility.  While addressing the media, Governor Khan said, “This is a clear sign of incompetence. Somebody should take the responsibility. The higher education sector in Kerala is in doldrums, even though the school education is the best in the country. Someone should take moral responsibility for the mistakes.”

The Raj Bhavan termed the report sought by the Governor’s office as a routine intervention. Speaking on this blunder, an official of the Raj Bhavan commented, “Action will be taken on the basis of the reports. This is a routine intervention of the Raj Bhavan in the university matters”.

The condition of education in God’s own country is worsening and the government has not taken this seriously. No stringent action has been taken against the incompetent and corrupt officials. Such repeated ‘blunders’ only point towards grave incompetence or the nexus of corrupt officials using education as a money minting machine.
