Flaring up divisive sentiments to get votes in politics has been a trump card for many, be it on the lines of religion, caste, ethnicity or region and secession. AAP accused of having Khalistani sympathies have again garnered attention for meeting a known anti-India Khalistani sympathiser.
Bhagwant Mann & Tan Dhesi meet rakes Khalistan issue yet again
The British Labour MP Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi met the Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann. What seems to be a normal routine affair is not any ordinary, customary meeting between two public representatives. The infamous MP has made time and time again anti-India statements and as per a Zee News report, he has been a vocal supporter of the Referendum 2020. The referendum 2020 is a movement seeking support for Khalistan and seceding Punjab state from India. Its organiser is a banned terrorist organisation Sikh for Justice (SFJ).
The International Anti-Khalistan Terrorist Front has given a memorandum to Kapurthala Deputy Commissioner, to cancel the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card of Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi.

Former Army Chief and BJP leader JJ Singh criticised this move of CM Bhagwant Mann, meeting Tanmanjeet Singh because of the stand he has been taking against India. General Singh said,”It is very unfortunate that the AAP government in Punjab…is going the extra mile to welcome Labour Party MP Dhesi whose views are pro-separatist and anti-India. AAP owes a clarification to the country whether it supports his views on Kashmir and other matters which are against our country.”
Shady Character of Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi
He has not only taken a pro-khalistan stand, he is a staunch anti-India politician. He wanted his UK government to question India on Human Right issues on Kashmir and criticised Article 370 revocation.
Well said @jeremycorbyn – we cannot remain silent in the face of human rights abuses. We need to stand in solidarity with the #Kashmiri people in their hour of need. https://t.co/LrStVCfQfB

The AAP MLA from Garhshankar Jai Krishna Rouri had employed Gurdial Singh,Chief of banned International Youth Federation. The AAP supported the farm protest which at many times became a den for anti-social and Pro-Khalistani activities. The farm protest at times showed banners of Bhindranwale and Khalistani effigies, banners and flags.
