NEET, CUET and Hindi – Stalin gets overshadowed by the likes of Kejriwal and Mamata but his sins are no less

Drawing a bigger line to overshadow the small line does not really work. Similarly, the sinner is a sinner even if the sins committed by him are lesser than the other. This is exactly the case with Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin. It is public knowledge that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee have left no stone unturned to promote their so-called ‘secularism’ by demeaning the Hindu community time and again. Moreover, they have always opposed every scheme or step taken by the government in the interest of the people. Such is the hate towards Prime Minister Modi that they do not even spare the people of their state. 

However, their crimes have overshadowed the sins of CM MK Stalin but it doesn’t make the Tamil Nadu CM a saint. Be it NEET, CUET or Hindi, his criticism makes him no different than the likes of Mamata and Kejriwal. 

Stalin promotes regionalism

India has been struggling to maintain its effort to bring unity and integrity to the nation. The separatist and regionalists have given a tough challenge to the idea of Bharat.  Although India has never let these forces win, they continue to pose a great threat to the nation. 

The centre has brought the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) to provide a common platform and equal opportunities for candidates across the country to enter the Central Universities through a common university entrance test. It will be conducted in 13 languages. It is an effort to bring a unified simple process to take admission the universities.

It seems like MK Stalin does not like the idea of unification of the country and thus he came out opposing the new development. He has asked the centre to withdraw the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to central universities. The request of CM Stalin reflect his constant effort to promote regionalism in the country.

Stalin makes the NEET optional in the state

The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) reformed the medical education system. At the regional level, many medical colleges use to sell the seat, ignoring the merit of students. NEET was introduced to deal with the issue. However, Stalin had a problem with this idea too.

The Tamil Nadu government had made NEET optional for the students through a bill passed in the assembly. The bill empowered the medical colleges in Tamil Nadu to admit students on the basis of class 12th exam marks.

For Stalin, Hindi hurts national unity

During the 37th meeting of the Parliamentary Official Language Committee in New Delhi, Union Home minister Amit Shah urged that Hindi should be accepted as an alternative to English and not to local languages. CM MK Stalin, for the person he is, began criticising Shah’s remark saying this would hurt India’s unity.

Taking to Twitter, CM Stalin wrote, “The Home Minister says to speak in Hindi instead of English and this is hurting India’s unity. Does the Home Minister only think that Hindi (speaking) states are enough? A single language will not help in unity.” He said the BIP was repeating the same mistake and claimed they will not succeed.

Earlier this year, Stalin stated, “Those who wish to impose Hindi, consider it as a symbol of dominance. Just like they think that there should be only one religion, they think that there should be only one language.”

You see, Tamil Nadu CM is least concerned about the nation and has merely any interest as far as India’s development is concerned. It is high time Tamil Nadu people realise that their CM is leading them to a path where there is no development but ‘secular’ politics.
