After being re-elected with a majority for the second time, CM Yogi Adityanath is preparing grand plans to make Uttar Pradesh number one in many areas. The bureaucrats have been asked to prepare a strategy for the next 100 days on the line that Modi used to follow when he was CM and then as PM. The 100 days game plan is a strategy that is followed by American presidents and is now adopted by many leaders around the world.

CM chaired a meeting of the heads of all the state recruitment boards and gave them the target to give jobs to over 10,000 youths in the first 100 days of his second term.

The chairpersons of Lok Sewa Aayog, Uttar Pradesh Adhinasta Sewa Aayog, Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Sewa Chayan Board as well as Uttar Pradesh Police Sewa Bharti Evam Pronnati (Promotion) Board, were asked to shorten the recruitment process and digitise every possible process in order to bring transparency.

The paper leak is a regular occurrence in Uttar Pradesh and even the Yogi government has not been able to curb it fully in the last five years. The only solution to this menace is digitization and now the CM has instructed to follow the same.

“The chief minister directed officials to explore the use of technology for conducting competitive examinations to ensure transparency and reduce the incidents of paper leak to almost nil,” said Director (Information) Shishir Singh, who was also in the meeting.

Various departments in UP have been divided into 10 sectors that include Agricultural production, Industrial Development, Social Security, Health, Rural Development, Urban Development, Tourism and Culture, Education, Revenue, and miscellaneous sectors like Home, Secretariat Administration, Personnel and Home Guards.

These sectors have been told to set short term targets and long term targets in order to achieve tangible results in the coming days.

In the last five years, the Yogi government has transformed the image of Uttar Pradesh. From being a corrupt, backward, lawless land to one known for instant justice, heaven for investors and improving social indicators, Uttar Pradesh has become new in the last few years. And this was reflected in the Yogi government being re-elected in the state.

With the Yogi government being re-elected, UP now aims to compete with Maharashtra– the most productive state in the country to become a $1 trillion economy by 2027. The Uttar Pradesh government has invited bids from consultants to make the state a $ 1 trillion economy by 2027.

UP is projected to be ₹ 21.74 lakh crore or about 285 billion dollars in 2021-2022. Therefore, the government is targeting a nearly fourfold increase by 2027, which is also when the next assembly election will be due.

UP is one of the most efficiently administered parts of the country and the ‘rule of law’ prevails in the state. Therefore, the industrialists have no qualms about over-investing in the state, which is not just being governed efficiently but the government is also providing various incentives for investment.

Yogi must be applauded for transforming the state from a nightmare for industrialists to heaven for law-abiding companies. And the results are already evident with the state overtaking the nearest rivals like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Gujarat to become the second-largest economy in the country. Now the rivalry is between Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra on which state will achieve the 1 trillion target first. In this race, Maharashtra has a head start but UP is making more efforts and showing willpower to run ahead.
