You must have seen funny videos or memes in which a mother tells her teenage child that the only reason for all the problems, be it a war or even an earthquake, is their mobile phone. If they fail the examination, it is because of their mobile phone. If they got dengue, it is too because of the habit of using mobile phones.
Well, we have such few mothers in politics too. Be it Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal or Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, both the political leaders, instead of taking the responsibility for any violence or incident in their state, begin accusing PM Modi and the central government. But the question is will such activities make them a political giant or help them win elections. Probably, not.
Gehlot held PM Modi responsible for Karauli violence
A communal tension broke out in Rajasthan’s Karauli when a motorcycle rally, to celebrate Nav Samvatsar, the first day of the new year under the Hindu calendar, was passing through a Muslim-dominated area. The violence took place following the stone-pelting at the motorcycle rally on Saturday.
Guess what, Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot stepped in with a strange remark over the violence. He blamed the BJP-led Central government for the clashes in the Karauli area, asking PM Narendra Modi to take responsibility and address the issue.
“PM Modi should take responsibility and condemn recent communal violence in Rajasthan. It’s his duty to maintain law and order. I urge him to address the issue soon,” Gehlot said.
“It is everyone’s right to propagate the goodness of any religion. But the unrest spread by playing DJ, raising slogans in the procession, and anti-social elements sparked riots. In the process, innocent lives get trapped and those who are not involved in the riots die. To stop the violence and disturbance in the country, the central government should give a strong message… The Prime Minister should condemn the anti-social elements, try to establish law and order in the country and anti-social elements should be punished,” he added.
Notably, as per the inspector-general (IG) of police, Bharatpur Range, Prasanna Kumar Khamesra, “After stone pelting took place during the procession in Futa Kot area Main Bazaar Karauli on Saturday, the police acted promptly and arrested 46 people and detained seven people for interrogation.”
“13 accused have been arrested in connection with the incident in the case registered at Police Station Karauli and 33 people have been arrested for violating curfew order. Seven people have been detained for questioning. A total of 21 two-wheelers and four-wheelers were also seized by the police,” Khamesra added.

The Chief Minister of the state Ashok Gehlot should be ideally held responsible for the violence. But, instead of apologizing, he came out accusing the central government. Kudos to CM for such a ‘brave’ statement!
Following the violence, section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) was imposed in the Karauli district of Rajasthan on Saturday. “Section 144 has been imposed in Karauli from 6:30 pm, 2 April, till 12 am on 4 April, in connection with a case of stone-pelting at a ‘Shobha Yatra’ (bike rally) in the city. Internet services have also been shut in the area on 2 April and 3 (till midnight),” Karauli DM Rajendra Singh Shekhawat reported.
Gehlot goes the Kejriwal way
Rajasthan will witness assembly elections next year. You see, it, thus, becomes mandatory for the state government to criticize BJP to gain more vote share than the saffron party. But, being a CM of the state, shouldn’t his political acumen be good enough to understand that they need real issues to criticize BJP. Rather than being a politician with good acumen, Gehlot is blindly following the Kejriwal way.

AAP Supremo, too, has a habit of criticizing the saffron party over anything. By anything, it means anything stupid. Yes, you heard it right. The recent instance where Kejriwal attempted to demean and accuse the BJP of peddling agenda through ‘The Kashmir Files’ backfired and he was taught a lesson of his life by the victim of genocide.
Ashok Gehlot, thus, needs to understand that following Kejriwal to accuse the central government without any concrete facts will only backfire and lead his party to lose the upcoming elections.
