Amit Mishra’s cryptic tweet is being celebrated by liberals as a victory. We think otherwise

Amit Mishra tweet

On Friday, cricketer Irfan Pathan chose to take a dig at India. Pathan made a cryptic comment on the political affairs of the country, writing: “My country, my beautiful country, has the potential to be the greatest country on earth. BUT………” Important to note here is the fact that Islamists have been attacking Hindu religious festivals and pelting stones at their celebrations, while also blaming Hindus for ‘instigating’ them. Such violent acts on the part of Islamists have disturbed communal harmony in many Indian states. Irfan Pathan is therefore of the opinion that India’s potential to be the greatest country on earth remains untapped. Whether he blames Islamists for such an impediment is not yet clear. Chances are, he does not. However, Delhi Capital cricketer Amit Mishra was more forthcoming, and his tweet on Friday sent ripples across social media platforms.

Amit Mishra said in the tweet, “My country, my beautiful country, has the potential to be the greatest country on earth…only if some people realize that our constitution is the first book to be followed.”

Liberals and Islamists Laud Mishra Way Too Early

At the surface, it seems like tweet of Amit Mishra is scolding all Indians. A majority of Indians are Hindus. So, this was reason enough for liberal specimens of India to hop on and applaud Amit Mishra for his courageous tweet.

Alleged journalist Arfa Khanum Sherwani, who engages in propaganda operations for The Wire quoted tweet of Amit Mishra and said, “Respect”. She also added emojis depicting a salute and a clinched fist.

Similarly, one Sakshi Joshi, whose Twitter timeline appears to show her being a liberal quoted tweet of Amit Mishra and said, “Respect”.

Interestingly, tweet of Amit Mishra was not aimed at Hindus. Instead, it was aimed at the community that keeps the Quran over the Constitution. So, what do you think liberals who were lauding Mishra did soon after?

They deleted their tweets and hid under their rocks.

Why did Liberals Delete their Tweets?

There is much to be talked about. The likes of Arfa and Sakshi deleting their tweets epitomizes the hypocrisy of Indian liberals and Islamists. They want Hindus to follow the Constitution as the first book, but when it comes to implementing the same policy among India’s Muslims, they chicken out and delete their sermons from the face of the earth.

The deletion of their tweets lauding Amit Mishra shows how nobody can gather the courage to tell Muslims that they must follow the Indian Constitution over and above any other book.

Arfa and Sakshi ‘respected’ Amit Mishra only when they thought that the cricketer was criticizing Hindus, and telling them to follow the Indian constitution on a primary basis. The moment they realised that he was in fact, referring to Muslims to do so, they undertook a visible damage control exercise.

This confirms the fears of many. Liberals and Islamists want only Hindus to comply by the constitution, while the community with the second-highest numbers in India continues to openly flout rules and regulations. Amit Mishra has exposed such people in a very comprehensive manner- all with one tweet.
