In India, everything related to politics goes down well in history. There have been many instances that have registered them in the consciousness of the society. One of such incidents is when the former CM of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav was asked to vacate his government accommodation. Once again, another politician Sharad Yadav has been directed to leave his government bungalow.

Sharad Yadav directed to vacate government bungalow
Former Janata Dal (United) President Sharad Yadav was directed by the Delhi High Court to vacate his government accommodation within 15 days. A bench of acting Chief Justice Vipin Sanghi and Justice Navin Chawla directed ex JDU politician Sharad Yadav to handover the government bungalow situated at 7, Tuqhlak Road in the national capital region.
The direction came in the backdrop of Sharad Yadav’s disqualification as Rajya Sabha MP in 2017. The bench concluded that after disqualification, there can be no justification to retain the accommodation. Not to mention, more than four years have elapsed since he was disqualified.
The High Court decided not to continue with the interim order passed in December 2017, which allowed Yadav to avail office perks and facilities of an MP. However, the Supreme Court in June 2018, partially modified the High Court’s order and allowed him to only retain his accommodation and said that he was not entitled to salary and other benefits.
Sharad Yadav is determined to bring the ‘Janata Parivar’ together
According to him, the Bhartiya Janata Party has failed, and people are seeking strong opposition.

So, is he dreaming to raise the stature of his party Loktantrik Janata Dal? No. Instead, Sharad Yadav is all set to sacrifice his own political party in order to give the nation a so-called desired opposition.
Sharad Yadav has announced to merge his party with Lalu Yadav’s RJD.
74-year-old Sharad said in a statement, “This step (merger) has been necessitated as an initiative of my regular efforts for bringing together scattered Janata parivar in view of the current political situation in the country.” This merger marks Yadav joining hands with Lalu Prasad after over three decades.
