Fat to slim
“I would settle in front of the television with chips, snacks, and ice cream after a large meal. I was a slacker who rarely went out or participated in sports. But one day, I made the decision that I needed to reduce weight. That was when I was about 16 years old. I started attending the gym, and at one point, I even managed to shed 20 pounds, only to gain it all back! “I was never able to reduce weight regularly, which was quite discouraging,” Ajay Nagrath recalls.
When he got a call for the show Biggest Loser Jeetega, where contestants were paid to lose weight, his life changed.
“We’d do three intense cardio workouts a day and eat five meals a day, all of which consisted of lean proteins like fish and chicken, but no salt.” It was difficult, but I had no choice because I knew I’d never be able to reduce weight on my own. I tried several times and failed each time. “This was my last chance to lose weight,” Ajay explains. During his time on the show, he shed 60 pounds, dropping to 82 pounds.
After the performance, Ajay’s appetite for food surged dramatically, and he quickly gained eight to nine kilograms as he began binging on food.
Then he decided to workout everyday and hired a fitness coach.
