3 heroes of BJP who suppressed the mutiny against Yogi and made him victorious

Every person is crucial

BJP, State

The UP Assembly poll results have once again proved BJP’s unmatched popularity in the country. But who are the heroes of this victory? The biggest hero is undoubtedly the Chief Minister of UP, Yogi Adityanath himself. He is the BJP’s star campaigner in Uttar Pradesh, as well as outside of Uttar Pradesh. However, there are three other leaders who worked at an organisational level to ensure BJP’s victory. Who are they? Let’s find out.

Sunil Bansal

Known as the ‘Chanakya of UP BJP’, Sunil Bansal has proven his ability to help BJP score big victories in the state time and again.

He proved his leadership skills and organisational abilities during the 2014 Lok Sabha polls itself, when the party won a whopping 71 out of 80 seats in UP. However, he did not relax then, and began preparing for a BJP government in UP after the 2014 victory itself, something which was considered almost unimaginable by many.

Bansal, BJP’s UP general secretary (organisation), is at the core of every decision-making process and serves as the point-person of the RSS in the BJP. From ticket distribution to allocation of tasks, Bansal was consulted before finalization of every decision, and this seems to have worked wonders for the party.

He ensured close coordination between the RSS cadre and the BJP. Also, he kept a close watch on dissidents or anyone working against the party candidates. Tasks were delegated to leaders considered close to dissidents to ensure that not much harm was done to the candidates.

Dharmendra Pradhan

An influential leader in the centre, He served as BJP’s UP election in-charge and camped in the state until the last day of the polls in the state. He is said to have acted a bridge between the national leadership and the state leadership, facilitating smooth strategy implementation in the state.

He ensured that the party reached out to communities like the Brahmins, who were rumored to be upset with the party before the polls. Sources said that he also  kept an eye on regional developments shaping up in different phases of the UP Assembly elections.

Anurag Thakur

Thakur served as the party’s co-incharge for Uttar Pradesh elections.

He was the one who ensured that the BJP kept coming at its opponents and there was no hiatus in the party’s charge against the opposition.

He has been credited with chalking out a successful media plan and strategy to counter the narratives that were being weaved against the BJP. He also kept an eye on the party’s social media campaign across different platforms, while realising the enhanced potential of social media in modern-day elections.

And then, Thakur is a flamboyant campaigner too. He went into campaign mode as soon as he landed in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Later, he also played the role of a conciliator and was active in sorting out any differences that emerged between various units and groups of the BJP.

These three leaders therefore ensured that BJP went to polls with full preparation and avoided any last-minute hiccup. They are the heroes behind BJP’s stunning victory in Uttar Pradesh.
