Career of Naushad Moosa

Naushad Moosa began his professional football career with East Bengal F.C., a team in the National Football League. On November 9, 1997, Moosa was a part of East Bengal’s historic victory over Verdy Kawasaki in the Asian Cup Winners Cup, in which a Samuel Omollo goal in the 61st minute gave East Bengal a 1–0 victory at the Salt Lake Stadium. However, East Bengal was still eliminated from the tournament after Verdy won the first leg of the two-legged event 5–2. Mossa made history again with East Bengal thirteen days later, when he assisted the Kolkata team in winning the IFA Shield against KBL-FC Kochi, which East Bengal won 3–2 at the Salt Lake Stadium.

However, Moosa’s tenure with East Bengal came to an end in 1998 when he joined with Mahindra & Mahindra, a Mumbai-based team.

Prakash.
