Massimiliano Allegri, an Italian professional football manager and former player, is the manager of Serie A team Juventus. He was born on August 11, 1967.
Massimiliano Allegri was a midfielder in Serie A for Pisa, Pescara, Cagliari, Perugia, and Napoli throughout his playing career. He won the Serie D title with Aglianese in 2002, his final season as a player.
Career of Massimiliano Allegri
After beginning his managerial career in 2003 with a number of minor Italian clubs, Massimiliano Allegri guided Sassuolo to their first ever promotion to Serie B, winning both the Serie C1 championship and the Super Cup in the same season.
He coached Cagliari in Serie A from 2008 to 2010, bringing them to their best Serie A finish in nearly 15 years. His achievements as head coach of Cagliari earned him a transfer to AC Milan in 2010, where he remained until January 2014; he led Milan to their first Scudetto since 2004, and a Supercoppa Italiana victory in 2011. Massimiliano Allegri led Juventus to eleven championships between 2014 and 2019, including five consecutive league victories (from 2015 to 2019), four Coppa Italia titles (from 2015 to 2018), and two Supercoppa Italiana titles (in 2015 and 2018). He also reached two UEFA Champions League finals (2015 and 2017).

After a two-year hiatus from managing, he returned to Juventus in 2021. Massimiliano Allegri won the Panchina d’Oro (Golden Bench) four times (2009, 2015, 2017 and 2018) and was named Serie A Coach of the Year four times (2011, 2015, 2016 and 2018), as well as being inducted into the Italian Football Hall of Fame and receiving the Enzo Bearzot Award (2015). He is also the only coach in Italian football history to win five Scudetti and four Coppa Italia titles in a row, as well as the only coach in Europe’s top five divisions to win a domestic double four times in a row.
Returned to Juventus
Massimiliano Allegri returned to Juventus as manager on a four-year contract on May 28, 2021, after a two-year absence. Allegri replaced the dismissed Andrea Pirlo. Allegri’s first match since his comeback was a 2–2 draw against Udinese on August 22.
