Laxmi Ravindra Hebbalkar is a Congress politician who has served in the Indian state of Karnataka as an assembly member since 2018. She was born in 1975. She lives in Hanuman Nagar, Belagavi, with her husband Ravindra Hebbalkar. Mirnal Hebbalkar is her only child.

She completed her Master of Arts in Political Science from Mysore University in 2002. In Mysore, Karnataka, India, the Institution of Mysore is a public state university. During the reign of Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV, the Maharaja of Mysore, the university was established.

Career of Laxmi Hebbalkar

In 2013, Laxmi Hebbalkar ran for the party’s Vidhan Sabha seat in Belagavi (Rural), and then for the Lok Sabha seat in Belagavi in 2014. In May of 2015, Lakshmi Hebbalkar was elected as the head of the Karnataka State Women’s Congress. She was later elected to the Karnataka state legislature in 2018 from the Belgavi (Rural) Vidhan Sabha constituency, defeating BJP candidate Sanjay Patil.

She is a feminist who tries to raise the people’s standard of living in the Belgaum constituency. She is now a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, representing Belagavi (Rural).

She had a rivalry with Ramesh Jarkiholi, and with DK Shivakumar’s help, Jarkiholi was able to lead the rebel MLAs who toppled Kumaraswamy’s government. In September 2019, she was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for two days in connection with a money laundering investigation.

State Women’s Wing

Laxmi Ravindra Hebbalkar had been named president of the State Women’s Wing by the All India Congress Committee in 2015. Manjula Naidu has been replaced as the women’s wing chief by Hebbalkar. In 2010, Naidu was elected President of India.

The president’s term is five years, however his or her services can be terminated at any moment. At the expense of numerous potential leaders, Hebbalkar was named the party’s district unit president.

Despite an overwhelming electoral response to the party across the State, the party in the district was unable to develop to the projected level. Laxmi Hebbalkar is a powerful Congress figure in the state, having won a resounding victory in the Assembly elections.
