Jitu Patwari is an Indian politician representing Indian National Congress from Madhya Pradesh. He was Madhya Pradesh’s Cabinet Minister for Higher Education, Sports, and Youth Affairs. Jitu Patwari represents Rau Vidhan Sabha of Madhya Pradesh in the Legislative Assembly and since 2013 he is in power. Rau is a Nagar panchayat and a suburb in the Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, India. The Indore Metropolitan Region encompasses it.

Jitu Patwari was born on 19 November 1973 in Bijalpur, Madhya Pradesh. Bijapur is in the south-west region of Indore city. He is the working president of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee. He was recently appointed to the Indian National Congress’s media panel. A member of a discussion or advisory panel, as well as a radio or television panel, is referred to as a PANELIST.

In 2020, he was criticized by netizens over his sexist remarks on twitter. Jitu on the line of criticizing the BJP government in the centre said “People had hoped for a son, but instead they were given five daughters. All of these daughters have been born, but one son, Vikas, is yet to be born.” Later he deleted the tweet and apologized.

Family

Ramesh Chandra Kodarlal Patwari and Pirak Bai Patwari were his parents. During the Indian independence movement, his grandpa, Kodarlal Patwari, was a freedom fighter. Ramesh Chandra Patwari, his father, is also a member of the Indian National Congress.

His wife’s name is Renuka Patwari and she is a housewife. She sometimes goes to public to talk about politics and to support her husband.

Career of Jitu Patwari

In 2013, Jitu Patwari was elected to the Rau Vidhan Sabha for the first time. He is the Secretary of the All India Congress Committee and the Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee’s Chairman. He is also the Working President of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee and a member of the Indian National Congress’s national media council. He formerly served as the President of the Madhya Pradesh Youth Congress.

In 2018, he defeated Rau for the second time in a row.

After the Indian National Congress formed the government in Madhya Pradesh after 15 years, he was appointed Cabinet Minister of Higher Education, Youth and Sports Affairs, but resigned after the Madhya Pradesh political crisis in 2020.

Madhu Verma of the BJP ran against Jitendra Patwari of the Congress in the 2018 assembly elections. For the second time in a row, Jitu Patwari ran for office. After two days of voting, the constituency had a voter turnout of 71.44 percent. Jeetu won the election.

Jitu Patwari of the Congress defeated Jeetu Jirati of the BJP by 18,000 votes in the 2013 Assembly elections.

Education

He attended Government Multi Malhar Ashram Higher Secondary School in Indore and then went on to Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya Indore for his B.A. and L.L.B degrees.
