Ragini Nayak is an Indian politician who was born in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, India on September 15, 1982. She is National Spokesperson of All India Congress Committee(AICC) and Convenor of Foreign Affairs Deptt. of All India Congress Committee.

She is also former National General Secretary of NSUI and former President of Delhi University Students Union(DUSU). Ragini Nayak was tested positive for Covid 19 and was admitted to AIIMS, after a few days she recovered.

Education

She attended New Era Public School in Mayapuri, New Delhi, India, for her education. She graduated from Kirori Mal College with a BA Honors in English Language and Literature She did her MA in English from University of Delhi. She obtained her L.L.B. from the University of Delhi’s Campus Law Center.

Career of Ragini Nayak

Ragini Nayak has been interested in politics since she was in college. She urged students to participate in the electoral process by using her understanding of how to frame and run election campaigns. She began her political career as a student politician at Delhi University, while she was studying for her bachelor’s degree.

Nayak was an active participant in areas of political concern at Delhi University and an activist in matters concerning political concerns. Ragini was elected President of the Delhi University Student Union in 2005. She was also elected as the NSUI’s National General Secretary. Ragini Nayak was an Assistant Professor of English at Delhi University’s Lakshmi Bai College in 2012.

Nayak’s remarkable communication abilities were widely praised in the media, and she was named the Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee’s spokesman in 2014. Various news stations frequently ask her for debates and panel discussions.

She was one of the top ten members of the panel selected to revive the Indian National Congress for the Delhi Legislative Assembly election in 2015. Ragini was a cast member of Lapate Mein Netaji, a popular comedy show that aired on News 18 in 2017.

Married life

On May 5, 2013, Ragini Nayak married Ashok Basoya, a former Vice President of the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU). Basoya (also ‘Besoya’ or ‘Basoya’) is a Gurjara gotra. Her husband Ashok is currently serving as Additional Advocate General of Chhattisgarh at supreme Court.

Before getting married, the pair had known one other for eight years. Ashok is an advocate and a member of the Congress Party’s All India Committee. Abhyudaya Basoya is the couple’s son.
